Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

I loved being an Elite in Halo 3 Custom games. I miss it but it isn’t important to me.

> I loved being an Elite in Halo 3 Custom games. I miss it but it isn’t important to me.

True for you, but alot of people wnat them in. who knows maybe the next game might bring somehting important to you to.

But Im not gonna stray off topic here.

I’d Say Elites should be in MP. if hitboxes are a problem then give the Elites a type model base don Halo 2, Never played it but I know alot of people never complained much from what I have herd.

Well then you should go on Ebay or gamestop or whatever to pick up your own copy of Halo 2 since you missed out on the majority of story and an interesting multiplayer. Huh, I just remembered that Rtas Vadum was still alive during the ending of Halo 3, whatever did happen to him soon after is a mystery …

Well i do Agree… with adding the slit jaws class back because fighting each other isn’t really great. Halo is based on Humans vs the Covenant it’s how it started and it should end the same way.

He is not mentioned at all after the events of Halo 3. Another consistency error. One that I find to be quite upsetting. I do hope that at least some of our loved Sangheili characters can appear again in later material.

Its great this thread is getting some attention. Thanks. I most certainly agree.

For me, Halo multi-player started with Halo 2. Sangheili and SPARTAN-IIs could intermingle. Not only would they fight, but they would co-operate. That is what made Halo for me. That is how Halo multi-player should always have been.

I agree that was one of the reasons why I wanted to play halo.

I’m up for change any day, but playing as elites was always a brighter spot in Halo.

Very, very few games let you play multiplayer as different species, and Halo did it quite well. The split jaws added a very interesting aspect to the game.

Lets hope for their return in Halo 5!

And/or Halo 6…one thing is certain im confident that they will make a comback.

Well considering we already know what happens to uzse [ fergot how to spell his name} , what happened to the other guy; n’tho? He was the minor elite on halo 3 for the campaign mode you get to play as.

Not sure but the books only talk about Thel and Jul. Hopefully in the next book they’ll talk about the other three, Rtas, Usze and N’tho. It’s up to the author. Since they were part of Rtas’s fleet, I’m sure they are home on Sangheilios like everyone else who was part of Rtas’s fleet.

probably getting ready for wahts about to happen.

Well this should be fun.

While there is great call for all the Sangheili clans as well as Spartan supporters of the original set up of Elite - Spartan gameplay I have to ask anyone who is keeping up with this Forum.

How?

Seeing the trend of most major gaming companies and INDUSTRIES one has to ask if they are even paying attention. Now I couldn’t go through the whole 291 pages without skipping a load, so my apologies if 343i decided to say a word (I doubt they did)

I also should apologize for my cynicism on this.

I have my doubts that 343i is even looking this way, while they may claim that they are thankful for us to give them the power to Halo universe, it seems that the exact opposite is true. In fact that most people tend to have a few let downs with the release of Halo 4, Sangheili aside. Weapons gameplay, so much had been ALTERED to Halo 4 in which 343i feels that they should disassociate with their past with Bungie. While I feel it is this “NOT BUNGIE” syndrome they currently suffer to a great effect, it is the exact thing that shall not only murder themselves but the HALO UNIVERSE.

While I will not go into detail so soon all I can really truly say is that their first “Steps” into doing this foolish move was to take away the Sangheili, followed by vehicles that we found excellent, such as the Revenant, Falcon, Chopper, and Spectre. Weapons such as the Grenade Launcher, Sticky Launcher, and (forgive me) Armor Lock.

For a way to make a “NEW TRILOGY” to make it new it has to be somewhat original, well sorry it doesn’t fly when the lore is so heavily ingrained with our brains be it human or Sangheili, Uggogy (Grunt), Kig-Yar (jackals), Brutes, and so forth. With a universe so rich in it, the dramatic space opera which we call Halo has perhaps been somewhat tainted with the ambitions of 343i and their taskmasters in Microsoft. One could say the path to ‘ascension’ has been unfortunately lost.

And I’d bring up the idea that industries and companies do not care or pay attention to their customer base, when they clearly know how and who to play to their charming advances to bring in their profits.
One could say that they are simply milking money at this point, it is easy to believe and that could be the case, the flip side is that their intentions were clearly mislead and that their customer base was expected rather than any sort of out cry from any sort of minority believing that all was good.

Clearly this is not the case, if that was so then this forum alone would not exist. Aside from calls to Nerf the Boltshot.

Bungie kind of killed my hopes in Halo when they kill you off so promptly, despite the blaze of glory you die in. However maintained the respect they deserve for the past games they had committed to us in great fervor.

343 like I stated wants to break away from their old ties but with a different intent, which bites them in the -Yoink- obviously.

so as I run out of things to say now I have to ask anyone who looks at this forum.

HOW, HOW does one get some pompous “We’re NOT BUNGIE” industry to even remotely listen. What sort of things would gain the attention away from some “Canonical” multiplayer BS that in which takes away rather than gives an experience, that simply rips off Call of Duty. What makes anyone bend to the will of the audience that one plays to and yet ignores what should and rightfully be done!
WERE IT SO EASY!
If it takes a growing “Minority” such as us Sangheili to bring back what was the Halo WE REMEMBER, and that even our Spartan brothers to support us to BELIEVE what HALO was is and forever shall be.

ONE STEP IN UNITY.

Remember and Believe

Thanks.

I still have faith in 343i to do what is right for the franchise. But I fear that the wrong direction has been set. A U-turn is required, in their responses (or lack thereof) to the fanbase, and in the direction of multi-player and story. Though I fear that much of this is the fault of Microsoft, rather than 343i.

I agree with almost everything you said.

Well 343 seems to be listening then. and I’d like to see the Elites being playable this time.

Yeah, seems to be listening.

Listening; maybe. Speaking/replying; not very much at all.

Most Companies can barely speak much anyways…they want to tell us what they are doing…but you know how business is usually in the hush/ hush

Totally agree I would love to like what 343 is doing (and I do like a couple of things they did) but quite frankly if they do not start treating the last ten years of Halo and all their fan’s dedication with some respect then Halo as we know it will die! Sure they will have plenty of new fans that think they are playing a classic and of course those that do not care, but how long until they let them down to? You think Frank O’connor would at least have something to say about this after working with Bungie and all he has said about passion and how he has said fans were important, but it seems that he has either sold out or it was a lie all along.

well you can’t expect companies of 343 make a replie escpecialy considering how the angrey fourm members also keept hem away.

I really wanted to see the return of Elites in H4.

Sadly, its not included, but I can only hope they are in H5.

They were so much to be with in multiplayer! I was disappointed in Reach that they were so limited in matchmaking. I was sad to hear that H4 would be all about Spartans.

Don’t get me wrong, Spartans are cool, but Elites are cooler. To me, anyways.

I can’t explain it, but it just lacks that Halo feeling without the inclusion of Elites.
