Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Well don’t give up yet. we still have a shot in having them in halo 5.

screwed up on a post.

I agree if they don’t do this, we will support only Bungie and not 343. I’m very disappointed with H4 not having playable Elites in it. I’ll give 343 a chance on Halo 5 if they fail, they don’t get my support or money. Plus Halo 4 has too many glitches and flaws in it like people losing their Specializations or their maps deleted or not working. Bungie had no problems with that. Plus Bungie listened to fans in their fourms 343 however has failed to listen and if they are I hope they listen to us and make the right choice not to ruin the Halo franchise in the future.

I still belive Halo 5 will have them, if not that. than atleast Halo 6.

> I still belive Halo 5 will have them, if not that. than atleast Halo 6.

They’re only going up to Halo 6 that’s all so Halo 5 is your last hope for Sangheili to be in there and playable species. If they dont put Elites in H5, then the chances of Elites being in H6 are very low. They will lose my support if they don’t bring Elites in.

Funny how Halo:CE was a new trilogy where only Spartans were playable and no elites to play as. Halo 2 then started to bring them into multiplayer and so on.

I think the same thing is happening with the elites not being playable in the Halo trilogy now but then they will be back in Halo 5.

intresting theiory. (correct me if I spelled it wrong)

As great as that would be to have them back, if they follow the original trilogy exactly like that it would come across very silly to me. Why take them out simply to be like Halo 1.

well this time some canon is going to be incorperated so will see what happens though.

has anyone thought about raising this to the people in 343?

That, and we have yet to know what is going on with the Arbiters side of the whole war going on now anyways. Don’t take my ideas for grant though, I am just trying to think of how this whole trend is going along.

Make War Games in Halo 5 a Joint Operation with the Spartan-IVs and Elites who ally with the Arbiter under the command of Usze 'Taham, liaison to the UNSC for the Sangheili.

Done.

Here’s an idea:

  1. Release Elite Ops
  2. Play as members of the Hidden Blade; Player 1/Host is a Zealot, Player 2 is a General, Player 3 is a Ranger, Player 4 is an Officer; Game Loadouts/No Custom Loadouts
  3. Sell
  4. Profit

Only 1 Season, and only 5 Episodes (I know that doesn’t sound enough, but there’s a reason).

What happens: As members of the Storm, you are under Jul’s command. Gek is your new Miller. Everyone speaks English (since you’re an Elite and you can understand what other Elites are saying). Missions vary from killing a Spartan Team, to regaining control of a Human outpost, to dealing with Heretics who left because Jul lied about the Librarian, to fighting Blue Prometheans (don’t know how, but someway could have this happen). Some missions have ally Grunts, Jackals, Hunters, Elites, and even Red Prometheans. Because your actual Elite characters instead of random Spartans, they all appear in the CGI Cutscenes.

In Episode 4, you end up on Sangheilios to help Jul recruit a huge amount of forces. At the end, you find the Arbiter, he explains everything, and that you’ve been lied to and Jul is the enemy. He want you to assassinate Jul, since your his closest, and most trustworthy team.

At the end of Episode 5, you end up back on Jul’s ship. You try to kill Jul, but fail and he gets away. You’re now on the leader of the Storm’s ship, and a huge amount of Storm wanting you dead. The Arbiter is now your new Gek. You fight towards a broadcast system, and broadcast that Jul is a liar and why. You then get surrounded, and fight off waves of enemies until you die. End.

In Halo 5, you’re mentioned about recruiting hundreds of Elites into the UNSC that had valuable intel and that you’re sacrifice will not be in vain.

Just an idea. Would definitely give Halo 4 Elite players super happiness. Even if it’s just 1 Season, 5 Episodes, and it’s against enemy AIs. Release it a year before Halo 5 is released so the waiting isn’t too bad, and connects everything in good timing. Because it’s shorter than Spartan Ops, and if they released it at that time, it would help 343i with time and budget.

> has anyone thought about raising this to the people in 343?

Like here? I’m sure this has been done various times, but go ahead. The more times this is brought up, the better!

This is what I have been hoping. Halo 4 was the generic space marine game of the new trilogy, whereas Halo 5 brings new, original, story devices. Perhaps we will be playing as an elite once more. Perhaps in both campaign and multi-player?

Possibly idealistic again, but a nice thought.

I would always want to play as one of the Arbiter’s people. Playing as part of the Blade would not satisfy me at all. But this is just my opinion. I like the idea of co-operation, rather than playing as one of Jul’s troops.

And I can’t see the Arbiter as an elite who would assassinate a leader of a large faction. This is not his (Nor the Sangheili’s way, before Karen beautifully retconned it). To simply kill a leader (Assassination is a large part of Sangheili politics, but I would not have thought this applied to a leader with numerous followers) without the support of said leader’s troops would be foolish, it would make him a martyr. Just a little criticism, a few nitpicky things that would need to be changed to fit canon more neatly. But I like the idea of being mentioned in Halo 5. Similar to Noble-6.

Very nice idea though. It would bridge the gap between the third book of Kilo-five and Halo 5 quite nicely.

yeah it could, I like that Idea.

Thanks Tentacletornado, I’m sincerely disappointed in 343i’s lack of support for the community, custom games and such.

I’ve had friends drop out of Halo simply because it was Spartan only in Halo 4. Yeah, I get it, Halo is about Spartans - But what about the rest of us? What of the faithful Elite community? You’re tearing us apart 343i!

> Ignore the title, read this

This something that I think that some of you should read. There is some facts about Invasion mode as well as the elites.

well I looekd but whaty does it have to say about the Elites and Invastion anyway?

You’re welcome!

They have destroyed one of the most avid, faithful, sections of the Halo community. It’s really depressing.

Fortunately I was always the only Sangheili in my friend group, and the elite clan I was a part of were avid fans as well as Sangheili fans. So thankfully very few left the franchise. But I can imagine why people could leave.

Yeah, its about the need for invasion to be excluded from the Title Update from months ago (Aka the “bloom update”). And the last post made on the thread was 10 months ago.

Forgive me if I’m not convinced… :stuck_out_tongue:

I wasn’t worried about the TU, just some interesting facts about elites having larger headboxes and how the weapons are balanced between spartans/elites. I didn’t elaborate my post clearly enough. Sorry about that.
