Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Haven’t posted on this thread since just before Halo 4’s release.
Honestly i’m disappointed in the Elite’s portrayal in Campaign and Spartan Ops. Since when were they so savage? What happened to that species that had honour? Who were once noble warriors that respected others like themselves?

I also dislike the appearance of them as well, felt as if 343 has ruined it.

well based on a scorce. Jul found this covenent when he escaped Thel and the UNSC after his rebelion faild. so this covenent that where fighting where cut off from the rest of the universe for so long they most likley become disorganized.

so Jul found them and pretends to be rellgious just to use them to whipe out humanity. but Im sure Halo 5 will atleast show the Elites that classic fans have Identified as being complex and not just savage monsters.

I don’t really ever play as an Elite in MM, but I LOVE the Elites. I’ve read about their history and ranking system on Halopedia many times, and I love the aesthetics of Sangheili armor and the various ranks. I love their code of honor. Halo: Reach’s Elites are my favorite from an aesthetic viewpoint, and in terms of gameplay as well. I love the look of Halo 4’s Elites, the problem is they are too easy to kill. But that’s a topic for another thread. Although I play as a Spartan, I enjoy the variety achieved by including Elites. Spartan here, advocating for my Sangheili brethren. On the blood of our fathers! On the blood of our sons! color]**

Fix’d, and I love them very much too. I like them because they are the gap that makes Halo so special. Without them, Halo feels meh without them. We sworn to uphold the Covenant.

I hate long posts…

FOR GOSH SAKE, BRING BACK THE FREAKING SANGHEILI!

Oops, heh, sorry, got carried away…

its great to see spartans and elites who want that varity whether its to kill them, or team up with them. for any reaosn we are all in this together.**

I’d hope they bring them back for Halo 4, in the canon, the Arbiter is still alive and his forces are still fighting a civil war and he has an agreement with Lord Hood. The only issue with the Sanghelli is ONI’s interferance and potential for commiting genocide (which is probably a violation of the mantle).

2 things need to be done though

1: how to fit canon for Elites in MP

sense 343 wants the MP to be a bigger part of the lore they added story wich as a result made you play as spartans only. so if where going to give Elites mixed with Spartans on teams. that has to be cleared up.

What are Elites doing with the Spartans?.

2: what type of MP system.

Halo 2-3’s system: had Elites Playable with Spartans no matter the gametype. and Spartan and Elite fans can be their preferd player model anytime they want.

not sure what to suggest here though.

Halo Reach’s System: elites and Spartans have their diffrences. but the but the other side is that spartans and elites have their own game types. and are only mixed with in custom games or a gametype such as invasion.

my Idea for this. give the Elites their own playlist, that way users can play their preferd species. and not be forced against their will.

cause lets face it. its no fun haveing to always play as somehting you don’t want. 100% of the time

( and I do mean all of us. both Spartan and Elite Players.)

if this Idea doesn’t seem good to any of you please tell me why.

Here here! It seems like the majority of Halo fans simply liked the variety that Elites brought that is so rare in other fps games! Of course there are people who are xenophobic or complain about hitboxes (have you ever considered that you just suck at the game) but these seem to be a minority, and quite frankly I don’t see 343’s logic in catering to them!**

On another subject it could be that 343 merely didn’t have enough time. I mean most of the armor in Halo 4 looks like concept art, the Covenant looks inbred and sickly (their armor is ugly to), and the gameplay just feels boring and medicore overall! I really hope they get their $%$% together for Halo 5 or Halo 2 anniversary!**

Actulley I played Halo 4 and loved the gameplay. but I still wish the Elites where playable.**

I don’t see how so many say having Elites as playable characters would be canonical. Canon is the whole reason they aren’t used. The reason Spartans are the only playable characters is because multiplayer is based around spartan training aboard Infinity. I am still disappointed that Elites are not playable because Invasion was my favorite gametype in Reach. Invasion wouldn’t make sense Spartan vs Spartan and it wouldn’t make sense for Spartans to be Elites in training so I’m at a loss.

thats why we need to find other ways to make elites playable.

Again. It would be as canon explainable as Spartans playing as the Flood, and/or Monitors. It could make sense to canon, it is only through a lack of thought on the matter, on 343’s part, that elites were not incorporated into this “multi-player canon”.

As reptile aptly says, other reasons for incorporating them into multi-player need to be thought of. As 343 doesn’t seem to have done so.

either way the elites should be playable in Halo 5.

I concur.

Playable and fully featured. I’m hoping that this new trilogy follows the original Halo trilogy’s formula where Halo 1 = Spartans (Halo 4), Halo 2 = Elites with Spartans (Halo 5), etc.

There’s no ifs or buts. Halo 5 has to have Elites in it. They already slapped the Sangheilian community in the face with Halo 4, they cannot afford to spit into the community’s face again.

Also bring back full custom game options darn it. And Elites. Angry wort wort wort! >:+

Sorry if I offended you about the gameplay I admit there are some things that I like that they did. What I meant was after a while multiplayer just gets boring because its lack of variety, and I also find xenophobe ops to be repetive and boring.

Completely agree! Be warned 343 if you treat us like this again I will be finished with your Halos, and will only play Bungie Halos until they are no longer playable and just ignore everything 343 does!
