omg,i still didnt finish campaign… WHY YOU SPOIL THE ENDING… well, even though it was obvious after the broadsword and infinity pulse lasers… no body spoil anything else please… Other than that, NOOOO, elites are not meant to be green… I am sure 343 could work out another way to diffrenciate them easier…plus make it more realistic, i mean common… do you think from the knowlege you know about sangheili attitude, that one of the factions would change there color from the other just to be recognized?

we saw a green pahantom didn’t we? in Halo 3. we have to do something. by the way. was there anything realistic in Halo to begin with?.

I would like it if the Storm just used the armor they are using and the Arbiter and his guys used Halo 3 style armor. It would also be more armor for customization if they brought Elites back in multiplayer.

if they did. The Arbiters Elite armor would eb the only customizability.
reptile, I knew where you were comming from when you said green… but the elites werent green in halo 3 were they? And could you imagine if they were… they just wouldnt be the same elites any more… More custimizations for armor for the elites makes more sense. Remember, the storm is a more “religious” group making them have a possibly different armor than they did before. The arbiters group, might have upgraded there armor from the last time we saw them…i mean they had enough years…(yes I know there was a war and that the elites are still trying to recover) They definetly have had enough experience in the battle feild to see what they needed… so new armor is possible. But leaving the old armor as options would be nice too
I prefer the elite look in halo 3, they look more friendly. plus the helmet is pretty cool. Reach is second.
Elites in Halo 4 looked not exactly baddass but extremely mean looking
If elites were cars this is how they will look
Nice and friendly(halo 3) : Elite in Halo 3
Reach’s elite : Elite
Coolest of all: Elite Badass (Halo 4’s badass armour)
Mclaren went mad with their latest car(third link) i guess…

when I said green I ment the armor color, you se ethat in the campaign, but the playe r models color would be the same as their spartans color. and yes they can do that to.
man i never felt it was unfair with hitboxes like some folks did, but with spartan ops and wargames being actual cannon to the universe, which i love and dont want to give up, i dont see it working for story purposes without getting rediculous. but again i never thought it was unfair and i hope you get what you want in at least some playlist again sometime, but i wouldn’t want to see it done cheaply as in the past, if elites are playable in multiplayer they need their own full customizable armor with as many pieces as spartans get, different armor but just as many choices
alright here goes, green elites… i dont see why not, on a jungle environment they may want to blend in just like the marines do, maybe if he got mad at mdama and came to the infinity he could speak to the master chief, be an interesting conversation imo, then his elites could train with the spartan iv guys in wargames and it would make sense that way and not be rediculous. but they all need a variety of armor and the arbiter himself definitely does cause the arbiter armor was old and outdated by nearly a hundred years, even at the time he put it on its mentioned in passing how crappy its camo worked due to its old tech, also the arbiter from halo wars had that same exact armor so we know its that old at least. on that subject he should start dual wielding swords in cutscenes at least. but yeah i guess i see it, new armor for arbiter for sure though.

I see, what you’re saying, but I disagree with the Arbiter removing his armor. An Arbiter is viewed as a mediator for the elites and the humans. If he removes it off from him, then he’ll be just like any ordinary elite. The actual purpose of him wearing that armor was by being religiously symbolic for order and justice in particular crisis. They also hoard the military and also engage in suicidal combat and missions and are also expected to perish and be known as a hero in order to lay a path upon to the Great Journey. The suit itself was restored honor to any elite who wore it after they were disgraced and challenges their experience against their opponents to restore their sense of honor.

yeah but the concept for the arbiter status may have changed with the Elites after schism. qand no he would never remove the armor, I just said green to show they are alies to the UNSC, like they did with the phantoms in halo 3. as far as blending in they have the active camo devices.
Im not saying the Elites should be all green for thel, but at least help diffrentiate them, heck evan ahve an Elite be define by their face.
Jul and his elites look more menacing, and thel vadum and his Elites can look alittle more friendly. heck if you want to look at it in less serious matter, an elite would where green to insult jul mdama. sense he hates the UNSC so much
heck we might evan see some asetics in the campaign story. if Thel make sit in the story of course.

Who are the Ascetics? I’ve seen them before but I do not appear to fully understand without some information.
Actually the color white appears to suit them more because they wanted to defend the purity of their faith. The color white=purity. Now with either a tint of green or a cooler color may suit the ascetic elite
> Actually the color white appears to suit them more because they wanted to defend the purity of their faith. The color white=purity. Now with either a tint of green or a cooler color may suit the ascetic elite
that could be but whites ben used for shipmasters, heck if not green at least some new armor, and a new gun to show the UNSC and Elites collaberations.
> Who are the Ascetics? I’ve seen them before but I do not appear to fully understand without some information.
memorey is alittle cloudy, but according to the story the asectics where a faction in the Elites who where revived whent he great schism came, there goal was to maintain order, wich is hwere the intimedating eyes in the helemet. it was a pretty awsome helemet. and armor set in Halo 3. my Elite was wearing the shoulders and helmet armor, in Halo 3.
Who needs green armour when you’ve got swag oops I mean active camouflage lol
> Who needs green armour when you’ve got swag oops I mean active camouflage lol
funny, but yeah. the green could just be a way to offend the storm faction. so they can get a challenge out of them.

I would have thought a green colour scheme would be more suitable, due to the colours of Seraratist phantoms. Plus, white would be seen as too similar to the Light of Sanghelios (A specialised unit of Honour Guards), who wear white. EDIT: Never mind, didn’t realise your were talking about ascetics. White would be good for ascetics, “purity of faith” sort of thing. But I would have thought that their role would have changed, as many of the Arbiter’s followers now do not believe that the Forerunners are their gods (Some still do, mind you). Maybe they would move to a more political/judiciary section of society, similar to the remnants’ Zealots?
You’re right reptile, Ascetics were “a sect of religiously devout Sangheili who controlled and enforced ideological purity within their faith”. Working in a similar manner to the San’shyuum, but before the formation of the covenant. Loved that armour.

I’m sure that the Arbiter status has changed after the schism. The Mark of Shame sure did. I would prefer it if the Arbiter kept his armour. It has become a prominent feature of his identity (As has the Mark), taking it away would make him less recognisable.
For me, the best way they would be differentiated from the remnants would be if they simply wore the combat harnesses from Halo 3. It would also be much easier if the remnants didn’t wear helmets, similar to Gek. A green colour scheme for the Arbiter’s troops would also be helpful.
But I would love it if we see ascetics… I would love to see them take a larger role within the storyline, it would also mean a chance to see Uhze 'Taham again!

There we go! That solves one gap of the problem. They would serve as the Arbiter’s bodyguards wearing the same armor. However, I think that removal of the helmet is an ‘okay’ approach towards independent elites. I also think that the Arbiter’s approach is coming since the sangheili are already in crisis, especially when Jul M’dama and his Covenant teamed up with the DIdact and his forces.
