> The Elites play a vital role just as Jelly plays the partner to Peanut butter in a sandwich, either way your gonna end up -Yoink!- off a lot of people who like jelly and are unable to like peanut butter. Elites have always made Halo what it is, the ability to play as an alien being against playing just as humans. I am happy there are still people fighting this situation

I agree with everything, elite players have justa smuch of a right. so does Spartans, so I believe they are all equals.

It is truly sad to see them go. I will miss them. Hopefully, they can be playable in Halo games post Halo 4.

I’ve seen a lot of that word in this thread:
Hopes nothing if you don’t work for a better outcome. One can hope all they like, it doesn’t mean they’ll get it of they don’t try somehow…
Not directed at you of course Mactashiv, you just happened to bring the word up as I thought of this.
I just hope they do put them in. Even though it maybe a dlc that adds them in or something one of them free ones. It be nice… But i wish they jsut did what they did with Halo 3. Halo Reach one was okay, but Halo 3 multiplayer was fun because you got to have equal fights together.
I am helping support this but is it going to do anything? I mean we all care, but do they care? If they do, then they do what we are asking for to support what there fans want and not what they want. The fans are the ones that help make halo, well halo.
Yeah fans didnt make the game or code it and so on, but we are the ones that play it for how long it be out until the new one. The fans make it the game everyone.
Without elites its going to make some fans possibly go away.
But like you know with Skyrim how they said no comment on werewolves or the word “No” for a long time. It still possible they will be in there they jsut dont wnat to tell us, still a 80% chance it still is no. =(
So all it is, is a waiting game and hope to see what we all get. Like Forest G said “Lifes like a box of chocolets, you may never know what you get.” Who knows we still may get elites.
I never really thought about a free DLC. With it being free, a lot of players if not nearly everybody will download it so there won’t be to many problems with matchmaking. It could just be an update, or something you have to download to play MM or just certain playlists. I am fairly certain 343 could do it if they put much effort into it. I just can’t see why they wouldn’t put them in. There are definitly a lot of people that want them in and not so many who want them out, and that is mainly because of halo 3 SWAT. I beleive 343 is a skilled enouph company to incorperate them into the game, The story could get into the way, but they could alter it just a little so elites could fit in or just have them in against cannon. I don’t think it would cause any serious problems, like how taking them out has made. I just don’t understand 343s choice. Maybe we can change their minds and get playable Sangheili back into our favorite game, halo.
I know right everyone would download free dlc any time. I didnt think about update also. Anyways both would still be a great way if they are not in the game itself, so they can be in.

much as I want them for DLC it is unlikley to happen we don’t know if the technology is able to have DLC chracater models for FPS games, secondley the only way to give playable elites in dlc is to give it a canon with a civil war. thats one way they can add it without breaking canon. now don’t get me wrong I would love the Elites to be DLC I want them to be playable as DLC Im just looking into a grey area.
OP - I hope you don’t mind, but I find this post extremely useful and would like to add it to my Index which is basically a collection of community posts that are very helpful. Great post, one of the longest lived ones I’ve ever seen.

I’d love to see Elites in Halo 5 or 6. I would also love to see them improved. Give them more armor, and let them be just as, or more customable as they were in Halo 3. Heck, if there’s enough room on the disc, make just as customable as the Spartans.

It’s kinda hard to make Elites as customizable as Spartans when they aren’t in the game in the first place.
We do not even know if Elites will be making an appearance in future games.

There are many reasons that Sangheili could be playable in Online Multiplayer. Taking them out after years of playing as them is like buying someone a puppy, letting them get to know it and love it, then killing said puppy while they watch. Reading that they wouldn’t be playable, and then not giving a better explanation as to why, was a slap to the face. I’m very confident that 343i is doing a great job on Halo 4 and are worthy successors of Bungie (I don’t understand why people fight over which developer is better), however I am displeased that we will not have the option to play as Elites in Halo 4 MM, and I am hoping that they will be playable at a later date. -Kal
