He wants to hear that elites have been confirmed gone by a reliable source… Took me a minute to figure out what he was trying to say…
We have heard it from a reliable source. We have heard it from frankie himself, but he also said we shall get soemthing to scratch that itch.

Don’t think of it as killing the thread. Now that Elites are not playable in Halo 4-it has nothing to do with Halo 4. It’s the same reason why they moved the dedicated servers thread from Halo 4 into General Discussion.

Yep that is right. sens ethis is about makeing them playable in Halo trilogy.

Funny thing about that, it appears the others have not been as fruitfull in their search for this thread as the ones here currently, so our more active members of this thread have not been able to find it and all hope of discussion has pretty much been decimated…
We’ve got nothing left to say for the time being until we get info on halo 5, which won’t be for another 2 or so years.

I geuss we could talk about how elites should be implemented into multiplayer (for halo 5)

But yes, this thread is far from dead. Hopefully when the Halo 5 forums open up, it can be moved there until we have complete confirmation on them in Halo 5.

Playable Elites have nothing to do with Halo 4, therefore it got moved to ‘General Discussion’ as it had to do with Halo but not Halo 4, since they’ve been confirmed unplayable.
Hopefully, one day, 343i will stop trying to be rid of the elite community, and embrace it. However, that day is in the distant future, if it happens at all. Until then, we have to play as Spartan IV’s.

There not trying to get rid of the elite fanbase, they probabley wanted the Elties to be playable but theyd ecided to ahve the MP get a story to wich it focuses on spartan IN’s thats way they mentioned earlier that MP would have an explanation as to whyt he red and blue teams where fighting eachother in Halo 4’s MP story.

hahaha the only thing i can think of is elites in custom game because spartan ops wouldnt fit in with cannon if your to be an elite same with war games which leaves custom games unless they make some campaign dlc were you play as a elites which seems do-able but unlikely
right, Im glad I’ve finally been directed to this forum but yeah, after months of ranting on various social networks about the removal of elites from Halo 4 multiplayer, I feel like this is the best place to do my ranting. I’ve been playing as an elite ever since halo 2 in multiplayer. I found reach incredibly hard to stomach seeing as I hated playing as my spartan, they just dont appeal. Spartan IVs look like robots, they dont even look aesthetically pleasing, and that is what they’re replacing the elite option with. That being said, I still have my limited edition of Halo 4 on pre-order. One thing I will not be doing however, is playing the multiplayer. Im purely playing this to see what happens to MC as I still care about his story. Just hope 343 really see the error of their ways before they destroy the Halo I know and love. </3
