We don’t nessesarily need to customize our elites, especially if we get to play as the Arbiter or some other sangheili character in the halo universe fiction. It would be a nice bonus but i honestly don’t know if it is possible or practicle. And why wouldn’t they want to work on an elite ops or sangheili based campaign add on. This forum show a lot of their fans would love something like that. It could be a great way to show what the Sangheili did after the covenant fell apart and show why some elites are working with other former covenant and fighting the master cheif. Not to mention they could make some good money off of it. I think it is very reasonable to think 343 will try and put playable elites in halo 4. Its something their fans want. If they don’t get on halo 4 we can still try for future halo titles.

> It’s not that 343 doesn’t care, thats not it at all, elites arn’t playable because MP has a canon, did anyone evan hear that frank said at E3 that they wanted everything to matter in story?, plus they said the story would move along overtime, and Elites can be Playble then. im sure they wanted to make the Elites playable but they chose to have the MP take place on infinity, so elites arn’t present there.
See, but there are so many ways around that. So many common sense explanations to give elites life on the infinity in different fields. They coould be holograms, simulations or just the last of the friendly elites.
There are more consoquences to leaving them out then putting them in to custom games. At this point I don’t even care if they aren’t in MM, I’m fine with the gone, but custom games are supposed to be fun. They are supposed to allow us to do anything, whether or not it makes any sense towards the game.
How many here when they were bored played insta kill SMGs on Halo 3 with superspeed and AC? It was just something to do.
And for those who don’t like the elites, If they were in custom games, would it affect you. Would it be so game changing that you would never, ever play custom games or if you did and somone played as an elite you would kick them out? If you answered yes, then you are probably lying.
Custom games and forge are for fun. They aren’t supposed to have an explanation as to why we are doing what we are doing. And to throw elits our the window of custom games because “They aren’t aboard the infinity” makes almost zero sense.
Please, I know its probably too late but rethink this. I know you have a lot on your plate, but to lower the custom game and multiplayer experience not to mention spit in the face of machinima makers is just terrible.
And its not like you care. You don’t owe us anything, we’re going to by the game either way. But honestly think about it. The mutliplayer experience is THE experience for a lot of people. Just goofing off with friends in customs to MLG, should the game not encompass it all?
The elites of this community are going to be left in the dust while everyone else has fun. A lot of them will have nothing to show for them in the game. They’ll still buy it, they’ll still play it, but the level of enjoyment we got from games like halo 2 and 3 will never be there again.
Why should the forgers (Of which I am a part of) get forge, but the elites not get elites?
The elites made an experience in halo 2. An experience no other game ever offered. You could be different, you could be something other than the stereotypical macho man invincible super human that you got to see in almost every other game out there.
To take that away from us is like a non physical kick to the balls.
