So are Elites going to be in invasion or not? If not, that would be a shame. If 343 COULD at least bring Elites back into invasion (although halo 4 may be to far in development at this point) I would be happy.
I don’t think elite models will be playable models for MM at all, but I do think that they will be available for custom games and forge, in some shape or form.

I will say right now… that it is probably impossible to get elites into multiplayer…but could someone please define multiplayer for me?

I think multiplayer has a fairly obvious definition.
Elites are bound to be in multiplayer, they’re just not going to be in MP matchmaking.
Isn’t there supposed to be some sort of reveal at some point? to “Scratch our itch”?

War Games, the mutliplayer portion of Halo 4, includes matchmaking and custom games. Elites will not be playable in the game. The entirety of multiplayer will focus on your Spartan IV, while campaign obviously focuses on Master Chief.

Yes you are right, they will not be playable, I was just responding to that poster’s very general comment about whther they will be in MP. Considering Co-op campaign counts as MP and elites are in the campaign then technically elites will be in MP.

Why they removed them from Custom’s is beyond me. Because if they wanted to bring Canon into MP that’s fine and all and I somewhat encourage it.
However if the reason the Elite’s are removed from custom’s is “Canon” how do you explain Grifball, FORERUNNER Monitor’s in Forge, Fat Kid, pointless Infection maps made by 12 year old’s.

I think griffball may also be a sport in the canon if theyw ant to give it that kind of a roll, im not sure.

All of the Forge environments will technically be know by the UNSC, like all the maps for Halo 4, they are simulated using Forerunner technology on the Infinity.
Couldn’t explain to you why there are Forerunner Monitors, but all the maps are covered by the UNSC discovering them, they are all War Games.
Wich is why this article ahs ben changed to Elties in new Halo reach multiplayer.

I may have a guess on this by thinking about it for a while when we have heard alot of times that Elites will not be in MP or Custom Games in H4. Well this leaves out only one way we can play as Elites: DLC. If that’s gonna be true it would be the first for Halo to have downloadable species to play as. Just sit and think about it everyone. How to get Elites in H4 if they are not in H4 to begin with when the game comes out? DLC is the only answer. I know there is alot of Halo players whom dislike Elites and constantly complain about it. So if 343 isn’t putting the Elites in H4 when the game comes out it has to be DLC. Only option there is for Elite players.
If this happens to not be the answer, then we have to wait until H5. This is my only guess and hope for Elite players. Anoj has stated in his recent video that there is hope for Elite players to “Scratch that itch”. So 343 has probably an idea for the players to get Elites to be a playable species in H4. So 343 is listening I hope we see a video sometime or confirmed report on the Elites. We have had very little information so far I hope there is more to come. Thoughts on Elites to be downloadable as DLC? I think it’s a good idea. Other games does it. Why not Halo do it too?
