Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Now they want to convince us, that they suddenly ambush those enemies (according to the radio communication it looks like prometheans are owning UNSC anyway), steal their weapons (which can obviously disintegrate the target) and give those to their Spartans so they can kill each other? And all that when this “vessel was re-purposed for peace”.

That would make them fit perfectly into the idea that Elites could be on either red or blue team in Matchmaking, although after simulation all would be friendly. Especially considering they want to train these Spartans on how to use Covenant equipment, what better method than to have Sanghelian allies train them?

I’m pretty sure that now-a-days the Green Berets train with the Spetnaz, and the Iranian Special Forces…

> No, Friendly elites are gone according to Frankie.

atleast until Halo 5. although and I think I can come up with 2 ways to include them in Halo 5

1:If it means mixing the spartans and elites in MM they would have to be a simulations.

2: If the Elites can’t be a simulation in Halo 5 MM they would get their own playlist with a story of the Elites Fighting in theire civil war.

either way they would find a way the Elite and Spartan mix up optional in custom games
(for Halo 5)

I don’t buy that “Gone for good” part one bit. Where is the source and reason then behind that decision?

> I don’t buy that “Gone for good” part one bit. Where is the source and reason then behind that decision?

The Elites at Requiem certainly aren’t friendly. Outside of that group I’m not entirely sure. Should the Arbiter be alive I’d imagine he’ll hear of Master Chief and maybe appear in the next two games.

I think when he ment friendley elites are gone, he ment that there not in Halo 4.

The Arbiter has to show up at some point in the new trilogy, so friendly Elites are not gone for good.

It would be an extreme dissapointment if the Arbiter and playable elites don’t return especialy since the community is so upset that they are not in H4. I can understand that they just didn’t realize how much elites would be missed and can’t get them in H4, but if they just ignore the opinions of the community and don’t let them return in later titles it would just be stupid. Playable elites are a part of halo that makes it special and fun for a lot of us and we want to see them return. Please don’t ignore us 343.

BRING ELITES BACK 343!!!

Standard space marine game, here we come. -_-

> The vessel needs protection. You don’t walk through a bad neighborhood when you have a gang after you, and you don’t travel the galaxy unarmed when you aren’t on good terms with the Covenant.
> The UNSC does not need to train with the Elites, and the multiplayer takes place 6 months after the campaign, anyway. In WWII, The US did not send troops to Russia in order to train, despite their alliance.

No, the Spartans are just too scared to fight Elites in live fire training.

Hold on, the infinity uses Virtual reality pods, right? Elites and humans are now allied, right? (Elites have high respect for humans, and they fought and died together in halo 3, so why suddenly ignore each other again?) Elites and humans both need to train, and why not train with each other? They have Virtual reality, they have a long list of scenarios (as if the human covenant war didn’t supply enough). Why not use scenarios based of actual conflicts in the Human-covenant war, so elites and spartans could train against each other. They could also use later events in the war, generate some AI in the virtual enviroment and use scenarios from the later parts of the war after the elites sided with the humans and train against the AI? 343I are cannonising matchmaking. I don’t like it, but since they are, here’s a cannonical reason for elites in halo 5 (Sadly the battle to get elites in halo 4 has been lost, it’s being released in a few months, they aren’t going to roll it back and lose money to add elites in)

Or, better still, blow up the infinity and uncannonise matchmaking

That doesn’t make any sense. The only reason is that the UNSC Infinity is a purely Human ship, made to train Spartans. The Elites and Humans aren’t buddy-buddy yet, so putting them together in a ship for years on end with the sole purpose of fighting each other is a recipe for disaster.

I really am saddened that Elites are not playable, but I can’t see a way to work them into the canon. We can only hope that they will be in Halo 5 or 6.

they will be, chances are the Story won’t take place on the infinity for Halo 5

When frank said Friendley Elties are gone, he ment thire gone from Halo 4, heck I don’t think the friendley Elites are evan aware of what the UNSC’s are upto, maybe they will run into the UNSC during there hunt for the rebel elites.

I’m sorry, but after having complete choice of being a Spartan or Elite in 3, it just doesn’t seem right to completely abolish them. I mean, you don’t often see players running around (to this day, even) on Halo 3 as an Elite, but that doesn’t mean they should be rid of completely.

I think half the reason why I play Invasion on Reach is because I can be an Elite at times.

No Elites just means Halo is losing its “other half”, to me.

Lots of people are thinking the same thing bud, but don’t worry they’ll be back on Halo 5.

The other half of halo you say… but to me, it is the other half of me.

EDIT: Let it also be known brothers… that we have reached a great amout of thanks… not 300, not 400 or 500, but 600!!! I thank all those who contributed to this great number.

I agree. Now all we need to do is hit the 250 page mark.

BRING ELITES BACK 343!!!

only two pages to go brothers

I ALWAYS played an elite in halo 3 and was devastated when we couldn’t play as them in Halo: Reach. Now my hope is dwindling into nothing… Please bring our baby back 343.

You can play as Elites in certain gametypes in Reach. They are not going to be playable in 4 in any way.
