they will, there a big part of Halo, I mena they’ve ebn in sll but one of the 7 stories in Halo Legends

They already announced that you will be seeing and fighting elites in campaign. You will see your “fake” elites.

Frankie has confirmed Elites are out (SuperSadFace), but something will scratch our itch (and it better make that itching spot bleed!), so what could it be? it could be Knights (doubt it, hitboxes would be soooooo bad, itd be cool to play as them, but their size and hitboxes…), so then what could it be? Forerunner? something else Promethean (they’re are 7 variants after all)? but honestly, play an AI with no personality/history or a species that you can like/relate/understand/care, which sounds better?

I’d like Elites to return, but I wouldn’t care too much if they didn’t, personally.

Agreed people just don’t get it that Elites have been around since CE. Perfect rivals for Spartans, best alien race than the Brutes, head of the Covenant military, honorable fighters, what more can people not ask from Elites. Take the Elites out and replace them with a new race you’re gonna make Halo boring. I like a challenge especially stronger fighters like the Zealots. Not weak opponents or new races that may suck in fighting me.

…lol, yes i am aware that they are fake… I really want to see the other ranks of them… seriously, if it were only zealot and minor… i would be disapointed

Are you effing joking, the new enemies can -Yoinking!- teleport and disintegrate objects and wield hard light lancers in one hand, whilst being able to spawn enemies that can spawn other enemies. These new enemies are many times stronger and harder to fight than elites could ever be and any other enemy for that matter. But i’m not saying i’m glad elites are gone, it’s just that the Promethean A.I are superior fighters, far from weak and boring.

I think I can remember something Bungie said about the “hunched” form of the elites in Halo 3 during developement of Reach. The alien dimensions were just too strange to fit it perfectly.
Now what they did to them in Reach was perfect. Elites were big, fast, strong. Unfortunately to balance those changes they were restricted to certain playlists and gametypes.
Spartan vs Spartan Invasion would basically be one-flag, and we already have that.
Also, successful bump is successful.

There is never an advantage for being elite. Just people have really bad time killing one in the process because of how different they are…

I shot both spartan and elite from behined, same result, both where dead. you just went with instinct and tried to shoot where hed was llocated.

and yes, the Spartans (halo) are also fake,
infact just about everything halo is fake.

Personaley I like the Elites and Promethheans, and spartans. I know the Elites will return for Halo 5, and I fell in love with the promethean Knights when I saw them. it would be cool if they made Elites playable again, Hey how about makeing all 3 playable.
