Sure it was an awesome game but people went ahead and made mods so you could play as elites, and when you said “If spartans were not in the game, it would not have the title ‘Halo’…” Was pretty funny because of how hypocritical it was. Halo CE was 10 year’s ago. Were looking to play something a little more… modern, with series addition’s including playable MP Elite’s.
Also there were 0 Spartan’s in Halo 3:ODST. That was a Halo game. so Moot point.

I’ve tried to explain this to other people in this thread and for the most part people understood it. Me personally, Halo is the only video game series that I play. Ever since Halo 2 I was fascinated with the Covenant and the Elites. Starting at Halo 2 and continuing to Halo Reach, my identity as a Halo player has been an Elite. Now this is being taken away from me and the “Spartan Identity” is being shoved down my throat. Imagine if suddenly 343i announced that in Halo 4 there will be no Spartans, and it will be told completely from a Sangheili point of view. This is how horrible the news of no elites feels to us, and why we continue to post here. I hope that made you understand.

Now I am no hardcore Elite fan(although i could tell you almost everything about them) but i am an hardcore Halo fan and the lack of Elites actually does upset be just a little, but have faith in 343i, you will be heard Elite fans! Like OP said, 343i listens to their true fans.
We are indeed doing a remake of ImSuck’s Halo 2 Music Video “Monsters” If you want to participate drop me a message. So far the maps and gametypes are all set up, and we have two willing participants with capture cards. It seems all that’s left is to announce a filming date.

At that point, I’d claim violation of Halo Professionalism Ethics and Policies - Section 7 - Rule 117 - Spartans must be playable if the game is a FPS and has Halo in the title. Repercussion? I’d hack the Xbox network and be a playable Spartan against all Elites. Standard shields, weapons, everything else, but I WILL be a Spartan… /joke

Our goal in this thread is to get a potential species back into our favourite game. We as people like diversity in our gameplay. We’re not crying over it, no we are showing 343i how much support the elites have in this community. With 510+ likes on waypoint (which is sometimes more than this site has on in a day) I can honestly say we have a lot of support for the elites.
We would like to see a bright spot in halo brought back to the community specifically because we found it fun, it brought enjoyment. If we can have it glitch free, then certainly we will.
Let me ask you this? How does this affect you. You don’t like elites, ok, I get that, but having elites back in gameplay balanced and glitch free wouldn’t affect you.
We merely want to see something that only halo did brought back to the spotlight because we as people liked it. The shock you would feel if spartans were taken away is exactly how we feel now.
Our goal is to get elites back for this game, or the next, whichever we can get.

Wich im sure will happen in Halo 5, all they ahve to do is just find a way to fit it into the canon, although I think the only way they can do that is give the Elites there own playable mode, such the elites in there own civil war or somehting like that.

I actually enjoyed the hunched over dinos in H3 and I think they should return H4, the whole “massive elite” idea didn’t really come about until Halo Wars. but the better question is If arby returns in H4 what will we he look like :O???
