I want to see the Halo 4 story to decide how high I will get my hopes up. That will include the Legendary ending and the Easter Eggs. Otherwise, my hope for them in Halo 5 is about as much as my hope for them now. If the Arbiter is called again to help Chief. then I would expect Elites to be playable again. But this all depends on how Halo 4’s story goes. Patience is the key. And it is something I don’t have. BRING THE ELITES BACK!
343 has already made up their minds. They’re not going back on Infinity over the cries of the people. The sacrifice for blending MP with everything fiction was the opportunity to do whatever you want i.e. add Elites.

Why do you continue to post in this thread when you know elites aren’t going to feature in multiplayer. You’re effectively wasting your time and really it’s the same handful of people posting over and over in this thread quoting random elite lines which is rather strange.

And what exactly are you waiting for? You think 343 is going to pay any mind to this thread or do you enjoy going over age old arguments with empty headed spartan fanboys. It is what it is. You and others can waste all the time you wish praying for water in Hell but it’s just not going to happen. 343 hasn’t even fished announcing all the other multiplayer aspects but they made sure to note the fact the Elites were gone. I’m waiting for the Halo 5 forums to open so that this thread can be moved to there. I personally accept the Elites exclusion, but where do I go from there? What other thread on this site will let me show love for Elites? This is the only one and I will stay here and support them even if it is a hopeless cause.

I think it means “this time” in regards to “there were Elites in former games but not this time”.
It DID only say Infinity Multiplayer, i.e. matchmaking, though. If they do add Elites in multiplayer, it’ll be in customs. Which I’m fine with, honestly.

Thats the only sentence I needed to read. It’s confirmed that they will NOT be in the multiplayer, and that it focuses on the story of the UNSC Infinity, and the Spartan-IV’s on it.
