Infinity (multiplayer) Is a holodeck spartan training program. Meaning it’s you playing a simulation as a spartan. So no elites in matchmaking, or customs. They are still in the game durring the campaign. Though I don’t see why everyone is so upset, they rarely appeared in multiplayer anyhow.

Play some Halo 3 and you will change your mind. And yes, this is a big deal to a lot of people. Please elaborate on anything we don’t know that hasn’t been told.

Do you not realize that the people who are upset liked to play as them? Also I don’t see how custom games would be considered canon seeing as how matchmaking and spartan ops have that covered.
Today is the day for e3 and after doing a deep look at the info released for halo 4 so far I am sceptical about the quality presented in halo 4. Hopefully the campaign and Spartan ops gameplay presented will be of a good quality and comparable to the classic halos though I very much doubt it.

Well at some point the MP Story will have a Covenant confront so guys just hang in there. I would hate to see the Elites disappear as i love hearing their blarghs in Multiplayer
It’s not that they don’t “care” about a particular community base and there’s no denying that the elite fans are a fraction of some others.
Like any company they have deadlines and objectives to meet and if Elites aren’t going to feature in matchmaking you have to ask yourself is it really worthwhile putting resources into having playable elites in customs?
I would rather see resources being put into making sure the core mechanics of the game and maps are up to scratch rather than worrying about how different player models interact with maps in regards to different jump heights, player size etc…

Custom game and forge aren’t part of infinity, only matchmaking is, so elites could still be playable in them.

Covenant, or the faction of the Alie elites, and hey maybe they can add the 3rd species to be playable. (future halo titles anyway)
Defeat, is only something virtual… only if you think you were defeated, you are actually defeated. Brothers, defeat has not yet come to us, for victory may stand before this very day!!!

Maybe, maybe not. either way.
and evan if the elites are officialey out of MP for this game. I still think that 343 loves all types of there fans

Please, I beg you to stop bringing this argument up. I have given at least a dozen reasons to combat that given scenario, and that argument is getting old. The only legitimate reason to take elites out is so that it is not similar to bungies halo. That is the only logical reason I have thought of besides the stereotypical and easily fixed hitbox complaint.
As for the elites, well of course you didnt see people play as them in reach. There were only two playlists where you were allowed to play as the elites, and the customizations for them were pretty god awful.
Now, Halo 3 on the other hand, Ninety percent of game I play now include elite players. SO you cant say they don’t show up often, their just a smaller community.

Seriously, who are you to speak on behalf of 343i. You don’t know if they will mention them or not, will you. No, you dont. You can’t possibly know that. Becuase in all honesty, everywhere I look, you disagree with everyone. You are on these forums just to start arguments.
Stop trying to speak on behalf of a company you know absolutely nothing about.
Today is the day that the fate of the Sangheili will be revealed. Today, we will either be victorious, or our victory will be delayed. We will only be defeated once we accept that we have been bested. Wether or not they will be revealed at E3, I will continue to fight for what we believe in. The Sangheili will be heard! We will not except defeat. We fight until the end. Surrender is never an option. This is they way we Sangheili are. We will not stop until we gain our rightful place in this game. 343, you can either except us now, or continue fighting. You cannot stop us. I think it would be wise if you consider our request.

Again that comes back to if it’s practical to even put resources towards adding that feature. It has no real benefit other than for a small minority of players to play as the elite model in their role play. I just think that would be a waste of resources and manhours which could be spent making sure matchmaking which the majority plays to be better.
If you could play as elites in custom there would surely be gametypes associated with them in matchmaking as why even bother having the option if they’re not in matchmaking? It just seems like a waste of development time. I think some of you guys are clutching at straws at this point…

This is how I feel about Reach. I hope Halo 4 is nothing like it.
