I think the concussion rifle was to replace the brute shot since it wasn’t around in the reach time period. I think it might be like the one shot in gow where it is a one shot kill and very accurate but with only 1 round in a clip.

I also want to see what new covenant weapons there are and even the “new threats” weapons. I think it would be cool the see a needle launcher where it would be like a rocket launcher but it would stick in the ground and you could decide when to detonate it like the grenade launcher.

I think it would be kind of weird to be using elite weapons in multiplayer without people being able to play as elites. I really do hope 343 has noticed how much the community wants them to return. It would be awesome if they revealed they were playable at E3. We can only hope and keep this thread alive.

Seriously I think most can agree that the elites are needed in halo 4 multiplayer. Even if you dont play as them in matchmaking or ever. They are NEEDED for fun and for funny machinimas. So 343, let the elites be in matchmaking and custom games. Just because the multiplayer has a reason behind it, which i dont really like, let the elites in Halo 4 as playable characters in Halo 4 matchmaking and custom games. Honestly, I don’t care either way. People managed without them in CE and 90% of modes in Reach.

On topic: Considering that 343i has said that they will Machinima’s and all that. How can you have Machinima’s without different variety of species around and such? If it was only Spartans as the only playable character’s around in Halo 4, wouldn’t it make video’s kinda boring to watch with just one type of playable character?

We’d have to go back to having humanoid aliens, like the old Star Trek series. Like SAVAGES.

They’re probably thinking that there’ll be enough Spartan customization to make almost anything. None of which are a proper replacement for a true sangheili.

Exactly. If i see an energy sword in Matchmaking, they should jsut throw the canon out the window. Seriously, the only people who can weild that are Sangheili and Tucker.

Jumper Jumps, i thank you for finding out for us. Confirmation was definitley needed.

But at this point in time, I and certain others know it is too late to get them back. That i no way means we should not keep this thead alive for 343is eyes to see. Whether or not we get the elites back for halo 4 is no longer the case, getting them back at all is the next step.

Ontaomai, be respectful. Whether or not they support the elites, they are members of the game as are you, and they deserve the same level of respect. Their opinions and concerns are completely valid if slight biased, but so are ours.

I agree there is not need for them to complain about the elites in some gametypes, as they only appear in one and a half, but once again be respectful. Whether you like their opinions or not, attacking them based on opinions generate by their perception of reality and their likes will only make them stay and it honestly gets us nowhere.

Spartans: It will be a cosmetic change. If we could make it as balanced as possible so there were no issues, we would. If it was simply a cosmetic change, you would have absolutely no way to complain.

The question is not if they can, the question is will they.

Jumper JumpzZ should not be coming to this thread if all he is going to do is tell us to not to talk about Elites anymore. We have straight up confirmation that they aren’t in matchmaking, we thank him for that. But him then to consistently tell us not to talk about them anymore and let the thread die? Thats wrong. Now we want a reason, having accepted not having their presence is Halo 4 matchmaking, for why they aren’t therr. And we will continue to talk about Elites in this thread until a Halo 5 forum section pops up and allows us to then show support for them in Halo 5. If this thread was a problem and needed to end, wouldn’t it have been locked by now? And Ontaomai shouldn’t attack Jumper JumpzZ because he does us. If he does, we won’t be seen as a respectable community and won’t be taken seriously and will be locked and looked down upon. You sir, are very correct and deserve a medal.

This thread clearly isnt a problem, as we have done nothing wrong. Like you said, if we want to be seen as respectable people we must respect people. And if we fail that, our credibility is lost.

Jumper Jumpz, i really do thank you for the confirmation, but please, posting it again and agian gets us nowhere. We are doing you guys no harm, so if this thread affects you in no way why are you so against it? Its fine if you state your opinion, but telling us just to let it die really does nothing for you, as it not only gives us something to reply to but makes you lose credibility. If you are so against this thread, report it, or dont click on it. Reporting it will do nothing for you, as we are not violating any code of conduct.

We want the elites back. That is all. Halo 5 will come soon even if we dont get the elites in halo 4, its not wrong for us to hope for the best outcome we want to see is it.

I say wait until the Halo 4 game comes out, then possibly change the title. Other than that, I say just keep it the way it is for now.

Well elites have always been a dynamic part of multiplayer and I have to say there is a significant risk in removing them from multiplayer. However perhaps new tidings will reach us in Halo 5. Patience is virtue

I agree. I have been playing Halo since Halo 2 and that is when I fell in love with the Sangheili. I would replay the Arbiter’s missions over and over again. When Halo 3 came out I was overjoyed when I found out that I could play as an Elite in matchmaking. In Reach I was heart broken when I saw that the Elites had little customization and rarely were you allowed to play as one in MM. Now in Halo 4 I am utterly devastated that in MM there is a possibility of no Elite play at all. We need to keep the Sangheili in MM and not just in Invasion or the unusual Elite Slayer like in Reach, we need the best warriors the Covenant had to offer in every playlist for every game.

Elites make halo uniqe. How many other games ar there were you can only play as a person? A lot. How many games can you play as something that’s not human? All I can think of right now is GoW amd ME3, wich I love because you can play as something cool like a locust or krogan. Playing as a person is boring. Elites mix it up and add something exciting. I really love the elites and playing as them is something I consider awesome. I don’t see why 343 would take out such a cool feature. I don’t see how taking them out would make the game more fun. I really do hope they realize how much all of us want them back and do something.
