May I ask as to how exactly does any of that info have to do with Halo 4 when all you are posting is some old Halo 3 stuff? Besides, we all already know that the Halo 4 Sangheili do not bend forward like that of Halo 3. Plus, they are as tall as the Master Chief and the Spartans 4’s also. They have new looks true, but that does not make them over powered or whatsoever (Unless you are playing on Campaign legendary mode). So again if I may ask, what does that old info have to do with today’s stuff?
I just think he’s trying to say that playing as an elite in previous halo games has also been an issue. I liked H2s campaign the best because you got to play as the Arbiter and it shed some light on the covenants side of the story.
Anyways, I really like to play as an elite. I think a lot more people would be excited to play as an elite in Halo 4 than people who don’t want them back. I realize some of you don’t want them back but a lot more people want them back. We have put up with spartans for a long time and I’m just asking you spartan fans to do the same. We really want them back and I think it will make a real fun addition to the game. Come on 343, this is something we really want. Please give us some news on this.

I always was a Elite player, but it doesn’t mean I hate Spartans. I respect them canon wise, but sometimes the mutli-player ones…I rather not go there. I still have a GF who prefers a Spartan figure anyways so yeah…My point is, Spartans are no better than Elites, and neither are Elites better than Spartans. We all want to play the same exact game, while being able to play as something different. That’s all I simply view it as, and I surely hope the game does something to support both species.
The Arbiter levels are the ones I remember most from Halo 2. If I want to be a space marine, I have Doom. And Quake. And Gears of War. And some Star Wars games. And Warhammer 40k: Space Marine.
Point being, Space marines are pretty overdone. It’d be nice to be something else.

Oh no your right, I never said they wouldent need time. But 3 animator’s, an artist and a programmer locked in one room with a bag of Doritos’s could have that done in a week.
But seriously, they wouldent have to model the arm’s again because that has been in the Halo engine since Halo 2, simply texture swap. Rigging them? there already rigged for campaign. that’s simply copy and paste.
I accept Elite’s are not playable in Halo 4, However if we persist with this effort as a community, I’ll be the one tell you to accept Elite’s are in Halo 5.
It’s stupid to have Elites in campaign, use Elite weaponry in Campaign and Mulitplayer, but not have Elites in Matchmaking.

It is true no doubt, plus it wouldn’t make any sense on having the weapons there in the first place, but not the Species that do own those types of weapons to begin with…
evan if this thread gets locked ,the relentless elite fans will just start makeing another one, so its best to keep this situation in one topic. rather then having the 5 or more of the same topic in one page.

Granted I like to play as both Spartans and Elites I’d love to be able to play as the Sanghelli again in MM it’d be itneresting to once again tsee mixed teams of Spartans and Elites in gameplay.
to be technical the reason I PLAYED Halo in the first place was because of the Elites,before I saw them,I use to think Ha;o was just anothe first person shooter and might fo lacked anything that’d seperate it from other first person shooters,the spartans I had to take time for them to grow on me,for the most part I at first just considerd them funny little ragdoll clowns cause the antics of the ragdolls reminded me of funny vids of people doing dumb crap that gets em hurt
case in point,I’d love to see the elites make a full equal comeback,theya dded diversity to a team which a whole group of Spartans would other wise lack (diffrent armor looks do not count)
Edit: unless the elites are playable again or a diffrent race is added this is one aspect you can scratch off that seperates Halo4 form any other run of the mill FPS

the only reason Elites where limited in m halo reach was because of the diffrences in the gameplay

I can imagine that would be annoying,hell there were times I DID get bored being a monkey in a space suit and wanted to be a dino for a change,but nope we ended up with Slayer DMRS, what I actually found funny was in Invasion after kicking -Yoink- as Spartans as soon as they switched to elites they began to suck,if ya ask me the weapons arn’t even that diffrent other then taking 1 or 2 shot diffrences it’s like they’d suddenly forget how to fight lol.
needless to say I hope for the sake of my bro and any other hardcore fan that you will get to have access to the MM in the way you wanna express yourself : 3

Yeah, Covy weapons were extremely well balanced in Halo Reach compared to say Halo 2 or 3. But even then they are more difficult to actually use and keep up with the UNSC weapons.

At least we are lucky enough to be able to spawn with Covenant weapons at least. Like the carbine and the plasma pistol and such.I am quiet curious to see what other Covenant weapons we could try out also…
I always like to spawn with Sangheilian weaponry but i think spawning with a plasma pistol and something like the dmr or carbine would be overpowering. You would just blast them with the pp then headshot them with the dmr. I think it would be especially unfair for those who don’t have it unlocked. I hope it is like gow where all the guns are there at the begining and only armor and stuff that doesn’t really affect the gameplay are unlocked.
I would still love to see my elite spawn with a carbine. It would just feel more natural than having human guns. Still, elites have to get into H4 MM before that can happen. 343, we REALY want elites back. Don’t let us down.

concussion coming back or no… because rail gun is in the picture
I think the concussion rifle was to replace the brute shot since it wasn’t around in the reach time period. I think it might be like the one shot in gow where it is a one shot kill and very accurate but with only 1 round in a clip.
I also want to see what new covenant weapons there are and even the “new threats” weapons. I thinkmit would be cool the se a needle launcher where it would be like a rocket launcher but it would stick in the ground and you could decide when to detonate it like the grenade launcher.
I think it would be kind of weird to be using elite weapons in multiplayer without people being able to play as elites. I really do hope 343 has noticed how much the community wants them to return. It would be awesome if they revealed they were playable at E3. We can only hope and keep this thread alive.
