With E3 just around the corner, really hope we get some good news for the Sangheili. Maybe they will reveal they are now playable or at least give us a straight answer and a good reason. This is the only reason ,besides they’re too busy, that i think they have left us in the dark for so
long. They have had to have realized how big an issue this is for their fans and at least have the sense to adress it. If we do here that elites are playable I would get so excited. A developer who listens to their fans and then responds with action would be incredible. 343 has been good to us so far. I hope they take action soon.

Yes, it’s the one where the previous Noble Six (Thom) uses the Jetpack to Deliver Hope (i.e nuke) to the Covenant Carrier. The Elites and Banshees in the video look gorgeous, yet intimidating.
Going off the Spartan is Born trailer, it gives you that Carter is this Spartan and there is more to him than the armor and augmentations. However, it deeply contrasts with the final game with zero character development for Noble Team and comes off to me as a wasted opportunity to do something deep and cool.
I stay on Halo 3 because of my all Elite clan, we need a reason to move to Halo 4. We need to be able to play as an Elite all the time, even if it’s only in customs or a specific playlist.
After reading this I’m actually kind of disappointing that they aren’t returning. I’m not an elite player primary but I played as one sometimes in halo 3 and I enjoy seeing the occasional elite in matchmaking. Unfortunately the story behind multiplayer is already explained and it wouldn’t be logical for 343i to just scrap the story, remove all ties to single player, and try and rethink spartan ops at this stage of development.

The story behind Multi-player in Halo 4 still has holes in it though. Where are the allied elites that were still around with the humans? Why cant we just use them in part with the multi-player simulator or even as to why cant the AI also try to produce Sangheili figures so that people could play as them also? It still doesn’t make any such sense to me or any of the other Elite players like myself…

It’s not logical for 343i to try to plug story into Halo multiplayer to begin with.
And Spartan Ops wouldn’t need a rethink. It just always uses whatever your Spartan model would be. Similar to Reach Campaign.
How inspiring! I’m the kind of guy that can support multiple personalites. After playing through Halo 2 back in the day i fell in love with the Elites. So much so i created a few side accounts named xEvil Elitex, Evil Elite, xEvil Sanghellix, and one other one that i can’t remember. With those accounts i made friends with 100% elite users. Halo 2 days were the best with xEvil Elitex. I had an all Elite friends list, I was in an all elite clan and we would run game on all Spartans that called Dinos and what not. We even had a disadvantage in Halo 2 with our Heads and the hit markers but we still had loads of fun and still whipped -Yoink-. But anyways bottom line although my defult personality is all Spartan but the Animalistic Elite personality is still with in me. I hope the Elites make their way back with Honor intact.

I think it would be OK if elites were in MM even if it broke canon. I mean, even if it does tie into the story, just don’t mention elites. In gears of war the reason the retro lancer evolved into the lancer is because it couldn’t penetrate locust hides, but it did in the game and nobody really complained about it. I realize this can be bigger but I think If they just turned a blind eye to the elites story wise the community would be more happy than disappointed.
What I guess I’m trying to say is that we are desperate to get playable elites back and that we would accept almost any reason. Please 343, realize what your fans REALLY want. That would be playable elites in MM.

But the Elites still don’t like the humans, they both have done horrible things to one another. So I can’t find it possible, and if so, it wouldn’t be pretty.

True, which would be a great area for story, expand on the feelings they had for each other after the war. I mean come on, look at almost every war in history, at the end of the war they hated each other but they still worked together.
