Yeah but only Spartan-IV’s that were originally Spartan-II’s would be that tall. The rest of the Spartan-IV’s are adult volunteers, so I doubt their height was increased (as someone pointed out earlier before me).
I think Master Chief will be taller than the Spartan-IV’s. Sure, there will be a height difference between Campaign and Multiplayer, but I doubt that will have negative effects on the gameplay.
Im pretty sure that master cheif will feel much more powerful that the rest though

Anyway, how do you know. Simply for gameplay reasons, the spartan IV will probably be the same size as MC, that way they dont have to make multiple codes for players.
Now, canonically, they could grow in size. Its not like its a physical imposibility, so it could happen.
As for spartan IIIS, i doubt the spartan IVs will be the same size as them. First off, their armor is probably four times better, as spartan IIIS were desinged to be suicide soldiers, meaning their augmentations were light and so was their armor. They had no sheilding, and pretty much just plates and of course the underlayer of gel etc.
Spartan ivs have sheilding tech, more augmentations, and likely already have large physical bulk.
I don’t know if spartan IVs could be as big as a II cause of the augmentations but I’m sure 343 can come up with a resonable size for spartans and elites. Bungie did it in 3 games so i don’t see why 343 couldn’t. I don’t even think it would make that much of a difference if elites and spartans were different sizes as long as they didn’t have a big advantage like they did in H3. I really don’t see why 343 has decided to do this the all the elite fans. They know we’re out here. I think they could make elites playable if they wanted to, I just don’t know why they don’t want them in. They must have seen how much support they are getting on this thread. Why haven’t they said anything about it? Please 343, give some info.

Why is this thread still alive? I don’t understand. Do you all honestly believe that 343 is gonna see this thread and suddenly decide to put Elites in Matchmaking at the last minute? This thread should’ve died weeks ago, but instead it’s up to 171 pages? 343 said Elites won’t be in Matchmaking, and I understand you don’t like it, but it sounds like there are over 400 people here who just need to learn to deal with it. Maybe we’ll only be able to play as Spartans, or maybe we can play as something else (like Forerunners) and that’s why we can’t be Elites. There’s just no way to know until either they announce it, or the game is released.
I rarely played as an Elite, but I’d hate to see them not be in multiplayer. It simply wouldn’t be Halo without them.

Well lets see, we have been playing as Elites ever since the times of Halo 2 which I have to say is a total of 7 years worth of playing as them. To suddenly stop playing as a species we all come to understand and enjoy them is something which is not ever taken lightly. Now despite this thread still being alive is still rather a miracle, and it will still continue to grow and be stubborn against all the haters against this thread. And I am helping it continue to grow ever further out.

Chuckles And yet people can tolerate the dozens of threads dedicated to telling us that Halo 4 will be the most terrible failure of all time, and THEY KNOW, because they’ve seen all 10 seconds of gameplay and filled in the rest using their PSYCHIC POWERS.
We’re just hoping 343 will somehow find a way to implement Elites into at least custom multiplayer or something. If they do, woot, we can play as Elites. If they don’t, oh well, we’ll still enjoy the game, no doubt. Meanwhile, this thread will stay up until 343 tells everyone clearly that “Elites will/will not be playable at all in Halo 4”. As of yet, they’ve only clarified that they’ve been left out of war-games and Spartan Ops, for valid reasons, so this thread is staying up. Obviously, with so many people on this thread, it’s a big enough “issue” that 343 could at least give us a straight answer.
On a side note, I would DIE OF EXCITEMENT if we got to play as Forerunners.

Actually, I can’t stand those either. Those are almost more ridiculous. I’ll admit I hadn’t thought of the possibility of Elites in Customs (mostly because the title of the thread is about Elites in Matchmaking), and I didn’t want to read the other 170 pages. Thanks for actually giving a straight answer instead of just saying “Why not?” like some people would.
I would really like to play as Forerunners, but I’m not sure how it would work out. What do Forerunners even look like?
As the spartan program has progressed, II’s, III’s, and IV’s they have become cheaper. That’s the ultimate goal of the UNSC, the spartan II’s where outrageously expensive and abducting children (if exposed to the public) would lead to a larger rebellion amongst the colonies. So they decided to make the spartan III’s. They were a little older when they started training (pre teen-teens) and were ultimately alot cheaper. Although they weren’t as powerful as the Spartan II’s more of them could be produced because they were cheaper. Now with the Spartan IV’s they took active duty volunteers from the UNSC to under go the augmentation (keep in mind the augmentations have become less sever over the span of the program) this allows the UNSC to produce even more spartans for even cheaper while once again sacrificing size and strength. As the program progressed the spartans became smaller and weaker, but much more numerous. Cheif will be much larger and stronger than any Spartan III or IV.

They generally look slightly human when they’re young (except with short fur, among other features), but are artificially “mutated” into different forms (warrior, scientist, etc.) as a sort of “puberty”; the mutated forms look much less human, but enough that a human calls the Librarian the most beautiful female he’d ever seen, so there must be some resemblance.
They’re also generally 2+ meters tall. Older ones can grow over 4 meters. So if we did play as one, it’d have to be a really young warrior or something.
You have to look at both sides of the story here. A lot of people like to play as elites. I admit, a lot more like to play as spartans, but that doesn’t change the fact that a lot of people won’t find the game as entertaining without playable elites. I think the majority of the community wants elites back or doesn’t really have an opinion on it. I believe only a small portion are would actually be glad if there were no playable elites. The goal 343 should try to be achieving is making the game more fun, and in my opinion taking playable elites out is making it less fun. I’m sure a lot of you out there feel the same. Please listen to all your fans 343. We want playable elites in halo. Don’t let us down

Elites are cool, no arguing with that. They should be in MM. Plenty of reasons as to how and why have already been posted.
