> Agreed.
It’s not pointless. Alot of us literally consider the Elites OUR Halo. I for one don’t even read the UNSC parts of the Halo books, because as far as I can see, the UNSC portions are all just your basic Gung-Ho Military crap you can find in almost any video game, movie, or book.
> > We are not whining or yelling at 343 that elites have to be in halo 4. We are just expressing our opinions of their decision to take playable elites out of competitive multiplayer.

> While I concur most are talking like this, not everyone is. These are the misguided people who are generally posting of their happiness elites are out. Where I stand on this? I like playing as a Spartan, but I do enjoy elite slayer, invasion, and other elite gameplay elements, so my vote would be for them to return, but later on down the road, Halo 4 is pretty clear and precise with its contributions and explanations surrounding Infinity MM.
Plot in Multiplayer doesn’t matter, and never will. So the fact that they feel they need to add it, and use it to justify the removal of Elites makes no sense to me.
> > I want playable elites in halo 4 because it would make the game more fun for me. Is it so wrong for fans to give a company their feedback?

> Only when its done in a non-constructive, flame free manner. This is not to say those are the only reasons, but giving feedback from the online community is also only one aspect. The bigger picture here begs for questions to be answered, and so far, no one can reply to why they should be in MM beyond it would please them. What elements of canon, competitiveness (the Halo 3 back of the head issue for example), and other related relevancies should be sacrified for less than 100 people (from this Waypoint community)?
Firstly: Elements of Canon are pointless in Multiplayer, meaning that it shouldn’t affect it to begin with. The fact that 343i is even trying to plug it in there is little more than a completely redundant gimmick that will be ignored by players all over the world.
Secondly: Competitiveness issues in Halo 3 were derived from poor modeling. Learning from past mistakes and fixing problems is all it takes to fix that. For instance, Instead of leaning the neck forward, position it upward, like the Reach model, and simply shrink it. We now have a perfectly fair model for multiplayer.
And Finally: not 100 people, at least 450 so far (likes on OP). And that’s just from the actually fairly small community that visits Halo Waypoint.
Anyway, I’m seriously not even considering buying Halo 4 anymore. The only reason I even played Reach was the hope that the Elite clan I was in could carry over. I don’t even count Reach as a Halo game, because it doesn’t play, look, or even feel like one. Like Street Fighter 2000 (yes it exists, no it isn’t actually a Street Fighter game). And now that they’ve confirmed Elites are out, meaning the clan I’m in holds no meaning to me anymore, AND they’ve confirmed Halo 4 is more of a “Reach 2” than anything. I have no reason to buy it.
