Well I thought they might be trying to start cranking games out faster, considering they have two more halo games in production I thought they could have been removing them just to get halo games out much faster then before…
While I loved elites in mp, I would rather them focus on balancing the game more. If they decide the elites’ models are not the best for gameplay, then that should be understandable for halo fans. I do however believe they should at least try to incorporate them into mp in someway (like invasion). The simulation story has nothing to do with it because they could easily make a “this is what it’s like to fight against/as an elite” simulation and make a mp mode for it.

Removing the stupid dinos has nothing to do with development. They could do what they want. But 343 decided very early on that Elites are not playable in MP. They focused on Spartan4s now. MP has a story.
And i seriously dont care about them, i dont even get why people cry so much about the elites.

On the Elites - couldn’t agree more.
H5 will be on the Xbox720 and hopefully will be like the leap from H2 to H3. I would prefer it to NOT be a launch 720 title - let the console mature a little and get more out of the hardware than give us something that could be more.

Nothing has been confirmed that there is another xbox in development, also halo 5 could come out in the next two years and with Microsoft not announcing anything this year at e3, then I doubt halo 5 will be on the “720”.

We got a Developer change from Bungie to 343. It was about time that we are getting a new Halo with MasterChief.
Halo5 will be on the new Xbox and thats for sure. Not as a launch title but one or two years later. Durango is rumored for a Fall 2013 release.

I don’t really care when halo 5 will come out or if it will be on a next gen console. I just care about getting playable elites back. I , and probably a lot of other elite fans, care about the elites because it is something new and exciting. To me telling a story like halo focusing directly on humanity is boring. We already know a lot about ourselves but a whole now intelligent species is something that can be really exraordinary. I really loved glasslands because it dived deeper into the culture of the Sangheili. I hope halo 4 will also do this.
Anyways, I am dissapointed with 343s desision because i thought playable elites would be something that would make the game more FUN for me. Isn’t that the point of a game? Maybe 343 will understand this and do something about it.

ive got a friend who works for microsoft and he said that the 360’s powers havnt even been fully discovered yet! the new “720” is actually going to be a huge, purchasable, update to xbox live which will unlock the new potential.
I wonder how much powerful the 720 might be anyways. Heh…as if the graphics power on Halo 4 isn’t impressive enough as is. I’m curious on what they will do to change the looks on the Spartans and Elites…graphics wise that is.

Graphics mean nothing if the actual design is ugly, like it is now. It’s like these Elites cross-bred with the Locust and the Grunts mutated for no discernible reason. Donkey Kong Country looks amazing today, and that’s a SNES game. Halo 2’s Elites still look great, and even CE’s Elites.
Anyway, I’ll buy all this about an Xbox 720 when I see Microsoft talking about it at E3.

I don’t think it’ll be called 720… The power of the newer system should pass the 360 by a lot! The technology now is rapidly evolving, which is obvious to see. NES>SNES>N64-PS>PS2-GC-Xbox>360-PS3-WII>WiiU-PS4???-Xbox Durango???

if you think about it, pretty dang soon we are going to reach a point were graphics can not get any more better. Its all going to start looking like the characters are actual actors, and the aliens are real.

The things that need improvement on the 360 are graphical items like draw distance and texture pop up. MW3, H3, Reach are all atrocious with texture pop up. If you really look for it you see it all the time. Pixelation is my pet hate

i think that would be a little scary… since Elites were pretty strong. and if Elites were real and ONI was too, theyd get those bad -Yoink- mother -Yoinks!- pissed at us, and i would most definetly be scared
