Lets not forget that there is possibly a social type of MM also like that of Halo 3. I find it hard to believe that people have given up on the most memorable creatures there is…

I find it hard to beelive that people can’t read one page back in this thread… Okay, 2 now…
But i know. Such a great creation is going to waste because of hitbox complaints, and perfectly annoying canon which we have given hundreds of perfectly logical reasons too.
Its saddening really.
Heh well, at least we still got a whole lot of time left for the guys at 343 to still continue in their development and such. Makes me wonder what they are going to show at the E3 next month…
> Heh well, at least we still got a whole lot of time left for the guys at 343 to still continue in their development and such. Makes me wonder what they are going to show at the E3 next month…
It will most likely surprise us all
Off course 343i acknowledges the guy’s yelling about Unggoy anatomy in the weekly update. However they continue to ignore the largest thread on their forum’s. There’s really only 2 reason’s for that.
-
The Elite’s are out, and they feel no further clarification is needed.
-
There clarification might involve revealing other feature’s of the game under wrap’s. Essentially an embarago on Elite info.
If only the Unggoy were so committed to OUR cause…
> The only way to fix the problems of the elite hitboxes is to make them exactly like spartans to cancel out all anomalies and that’s not possible, not if you want the elite to actually look anything like its original build.
there never was a hitbox “problem” Elites were just as easy to kill as they were in Halo 3. All you had to do was aim a little bit lower, not that hard guys. I played as an Elite in Halo 3 and died to the weapons of my enemies just as easily as i do when i rarely play as a Spartan. And if people really are going to -Yoink- and moan, then why not make the elite model just like Reach’s but shrunk down a little. Reach Elites stood up strait and had the same shaped hitbox as Spartans, it was just larger.
> It’s not just the hitboxes that is the problem either, without elites in MP it means we will avoid gametypes like elite slayer which is absolutely horrible imo, I’ve never been a fan of covenant based weapons and gametypes and the existence of elites in MP increases the likelihood of these.
Elite Slayer didnt exist until Halo Reach, were Elites had different characteristics than Spartans. A simple fix to that would be to make Elites just as playable as in Halo 2 and 3, meaning you choose to play as an Elite in any game mode whenever you wanted with no different traits.

Let’s not jump to any concussions just yet. this is just like the Bungie Weekly updates where they show one type of stuff at a time. They will likely show the elite presumably next week or by the time the E3 event comes about. So right now, just be patient.
I don’t see the problem so what if there not playable in Halo 4 go play Halo 3 or Reach its not like its the end of Halo if Elites aren’t in there. Also the story behind multiplayer would make it impossible to include elites. So naw on that for a while

Then whats the point of you having to post in this area? Besides, we already have hundreds, even more than thousands of players that are still troubled over this news. If your going by how the story is looking, you realized there are still elites that are fighting alongside the humans.

i nawed on that info, swallowed it, and now im about to -Yoink- it out.
> I don’t see the problem so what if there not playable in Halo 4 go play Halo 3 or Reach
the problem is Halo 4’s multiplayer is going to be great in my opinion, why should I be forced to go back to Halo 3? No one is going to really play it, and I want to play as an Elite in Halo 4.
> its not like its the end of Halo if Elites aren’t in there.
if Elites were not in Halo 4 whatsoever, it would most definetly be the end of Halo. Dont you remember in Halo CE, the very first enemy you kill is an Elite. And do you remember that Halo 2, the first Halo with xbox live, had Elite equal rights in multiplayer. Do you remember how succesful Halo 3 was, and how Elites were equal and the only people who wanted elites out were the people who could not aim a little bit lower. And do you remember how much most people hated Reach, with Spartans being the focus of multiplayer?
> Also the story behind multiplayer would make it impossible to include elites.
the story is virtual simulation. The Elites could be added either as training along side Spartans, since the Elites and Humans have a treaty, or they could be holographic “A.I.s” to prepar the Spartans for combat against them.

Okay you mean a Human ship with a Human crew that are training Human Spartans would have Elites on broad what is your logic there? The point, it doesn’t make sense that Elites would be training with Spartans however I would like the idea of Elites included in Spartan Ops as a support character maybe playable via seasons or DLC. Other than that there isn’t a real problem here. As a writer I know its hard tiring to fit a story together to fit into a established universe and sometimes you have to make sacrifices for it to overall work.

We are in a Simulator for a reason. Not everything inside the thing is presented to be real, in which it is for Spartan training and such. Elite’s could either be processed so that they can be used for training and such for the Spartans to be combating soon enough, or just simply adding more tactition to train Spartans in handling Sangheili situations. Either way, I do not see Elites as DLC or anything in particular, other than they are already implemented into the game and played as whenever we want.

Wow just wow http://mayanimosity.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/buzz-p6bitkpiv-88145-500-279.jpg Thats how I feel. First off you literary contradicted yourself by saying there not in Halo 4 at all (yet gameinformer says otherwise) and saying they could be faceplam second the Spartans are former military so they have allot of expenses fighting the covenant. Thirdly you do have a point with the holograms but its highly unlikely they would be playable and there are no bots in Halo 4 so that idea is mostly trash but A for effort.
Then I hope you have had a good time around here, because your argument is Invalid on changing our minds that elites are not going to be in multi-player. Anything els you have to say so we can go about our daily lives?

This is focusing on the Spartans not the Elites if they are i they maybe there for custom games but that’s bout it. It just doesn’t seem to be a reason to have Elites in a Spartan focused story.
I can definitely see what you’re saying, OP. Personally, I always like being elites in Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer, and I thought they were cooler than the spartans. Ironic, considering my GT and all… lol, but I was sad when Elites were changed in Reach.
I think they should do with the elites what Epic Games does with General RAAM and Skorge in Gears of War: make them big, imposing, and intimidating in single player, but in multiplayer, scale down their models so that they are the same size as everyone else. It bothered absolutely no one in any of the Gears of War games; in fact, people loved that they could be RAAM in multiplayer.

How bout no…It would continue to end up like Reach and that will likely seperate us from the rest of the community as a whole. It would be alot more Smarter by adjusting the elites to be as tall as Spartans, fix the hit boxes a bit more, and to be standing up straighter. We are not playing GOW Halo edition here…

No, no, see, that would make sense. And be comparatively easy.

That’s what he said.

Uh… isn’t that exactly what I just said, but paraphrased? lmao
They adjusted RAAM’s size and hitboxes to be the same as the COG characters and locust infantry characters. I’m suggesting they do the same with the elites. We’re on the same side, pal.
Ah I see…the way you wrote it down made it sound like ya wanted something crazy. Well that I suppose that works out too yeah…
