Swat is but one aspect, and in the lack of regular swat it could be replaced with an elite catagory (Not replace just a new form of swat) called spec ops.
> Please 343, we need more info. Don’t disappoint us.
Just wait. And post construcitve posts meanwhile
343 here our cries! In under a day we have 15 pages of people who want the Sangheili in halo 4! Let our voices be heard!
LET THE SANGHEILI RISE
> You know, even though I never really play as Elites, I would hate to see them go, and Matchmaking wouldn’t be the same without them.
I agree. Having Elites in the mix is fun. I may not play as them, but I sure love killing them. xD
@ nicholas cave, Dont look now, but youve got 1337 posts XD
> I think, if the elites make it to halo 4, they should have some new weapons. Aong with the plasma rifle, plasma pistol, and the energy sword, they need new weapons to make a debut… Any suggestions? I was thinking and energy stave, like the ones weilded by the Sangheili Honor Gaurds in halo 2. They would be a perfect weapon to introduce, being as we probably have a flag in halo 4, you could use that as the base and work off of it. If i recall it looked like a halbard, but with the blade being energy.
Like i said before, any ideas for weapons? How about a new rocket launher, or a new sniper. I would like to see the beam rifel back, but i think that a new weapon would be better and cooler.
> I didn’t read through all 12 pages of this so I don’t know if this has been mentioned or not but an article from Destructoid.com says and I quote, “The Covenant will play a role in the story as well, but they aren’t an opposing force.” So it would appear that Covenant species will appear in Halo 4 but are no longer an enemy.

Well that at least gives us a shot at elites in the campaign. Multiplayer really needs to be fleshed out. But like every halo game this will take time. We didn’t see any elites in Multiplayer until the end of the ViDocs, probably because other areas of Multiplayer require more focus to get the infrastructure of the game working properly. At least we have a chance here.
If they add RvB story why they are fighting then…books linking to halo 4 should take place right?..Like the arbiter should impact halo 4 alot…of course sangheili should take part in multilayer as well because, a nice chuck like playing as elites and those who are spartan players also like switching here and there. Its like add more customization. You want your buyers or your consumers to be able to represent them selfs with a faction. Like me Sangheili. Now I am saying if sangheili have a same box as spartans and that would be nice meaning more ppl will buy…The faction thing i messed up but you get what I mean. Alot of elite clans out there that would love this in multilayer and also spartans since they love to kill in game multiplayer elites. Let elites be mixed fun. Same health, height, shields, ect.
It was also brought to my attention that the Elites seemed so much bigger in Reach because we were playing as SPARTAN IIIs, who are much smaller. If the SPARTAN IVs rival the SPARTAN IIs in power, I’m sure they will be about the same height, making things even. This way we can have the elites stand upright and still be comparable to SPARTAN IVs in size.
If the multiplayer is close to halo 3 I suggest that we can take whatever specie we want in Social, but in ranked its spartan only so everyone can be happy. Also, would be perfect if Halo 4 had the same kind of campaign then halo 2. Certain cutscenes/levels have Sangheilis. I consider Halo 2 the best campaign, was because they integrated other species( by that I mean you have a view on them). Only a view for spartans can be good, yes, but would add more originality to the game if other species would have their word to say. The players would feel more in the story. And also the players would know whats happening on more then 1 side.
343 honestly has no immediatly visible reason to exclude the elites.
Armor is not just cosmetic?
-Give the Elites blessings in their armor pieces, like halowars did for the covenant armies.
The Elites would be to tall?
-From what I could tell the Spartan IIIs weren’t exactly sizeable anyway. Plus were Spartan IVs, their physical properties haven’t been nailed down yet but they look sizeable to a Spartan II (Sharing the same or similar character model to the chief from visual observation)
The Hit boxes in the playlist will be unbalanced?
-Its halo not CoD, 343i is aparrently adding some sort of class or character progression system, let Elites be Elites , Also halo doesn’t always have to be super competetive, ya know…just thought I’d remind you…
Fine, Elites vs Spartans?
-No, it was fun in halo 3 customs but my blood brother is an Elite fan, It was awesome fighting aimbotters along with him. Reach tried…to keep it simple they over did it.
Your just an Elite supremist…
Im a Spartan to the bare-bone, but my best friend is an Elite fan as I stated above and halo wouldn’t be…well halo without them
SPARTAN II vs Sangheili - Size = Same
SPARTAN III vs Sangheili - Size = Small Spartan
What could happen in Halo 4:
SPARTAN IV vs Sangheili - Size = Same

> Halo Reach CORRECTED Halo 2 and 3’s mistakes by making Elites stand natively, which just so happens to be the SAME SHAPE as a Spartan. Then they made the mistake of making them absolutely massive instead of the same size.
>
> Look at this picture, there is NOTHING wrong with the hitboxes, and no way to complain. Everything is the same size and shape.

> The only possible “difference” is that the Spartan happens to be looking a little higher up than the Elite, which is literally just the way he is standing in the picture, not the shape of the model.

> In Halo Reach the ONLY difference between Spartan and Elite models is 20% of mass. Wow Bungie, fix all our problems, then make a gimmick out of it.

> Not to mention Reach is the only Halo game where Elites were massive compared to Spartans, everyone tries to cry about Halo CE, and how they were so much bigger than you, but honestly:

Hence why the Elite is soo hunched over and nearly crouching…
it depends on how the multiplayer aspect is involved with the story, if the multiplayer really has nothing to do with the story line, the Heck yea I want the elites in MM! but if the multiplayer is relevant to the story then I say it is time to let go of the Elites.

No, making multiplayer canon is just stupid.
Invasion would be pretty cool for elites and elite slayer n all like in reach. But most gametypes should be forced Spartans only. Elites should only appear in infection, invasion, customs games, forge and elite slayer.

No, we don’t want to play as a Spartan at all.
I concur with this. I rarely visit the 343i forums, but things like this make me smile.
It’s been a while since we had elites where they should be; in Multiplayer. With the return of the Spartan 2 model, size shouldn’t be such an issue anymore, and it would be wonderful to strap that old Sangheli armor in for Multiplayer, the way halo 2 and halo 3 were for me back in the day.
I’m signing this.

That’s effectively what Reach gave us and it was an INSULT.
Literally, Halo Reach was a massive kick in the groin for Elite fans.
Every time someone has a complaint about why Elites don’t belong in Halo 4 it’s “Oh, well, they are too big” Yeah, they are too big in REACH, but they don’t have to be in Halo 4. DIFFERENT game, DIFFERENT models.
I agree, Make us just normal everything, But In all play-lists!
