Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> what is the elite equivilant of the infinity?

…My guess would be the Shadow of intent…you know what? I dont know…thats a good question.

EDIT: The Long Night of Solace, if it was corresponding with the CSO Super Carrier Schematics, would be 8.274285714 Times bigger than the Infinity. The closest thing to a length of 3.5KM (Infinity) would be an Assault Carrier, such as the Shadow of Intent, you are indeed correct, good sir.

To be perfectly honest, all they would have to do is say:

“The Sangheili are still a torn government, those following Thel 'Vadam have officially sided with Lord Hood, and the UNSC and train alongside Spartan IVs on the UNSC Infinity, while those following Jul 'Mdama have formed a new Covenant and are at war with humanity.”

Elites in Multiplayer.

Anyway, there is no Elite equivalent of the Infinity. The Infinity is a post-war Juggernaut comprised of UNSC, Covenant, AND Forerunner Technology, and far surpasses the capabilities of any ship in the former Covenant fleet save the Prophets’ Dreadnaught, which was likely recovered by Humans during an excavation of the ruins of Installation 00.

> what is the elite equivilant of the infinity?

Not a Carrier-

High Charity
Unyielding Hierophant

And here is a little fact from Halo Wiki-

  • At approximately 27km, the CSO-class supercarrier is likely the largest starship ever in the Halo Universe. Much larger than any human ship seen thus far and larger than the Forerunner ships. The supercarrier is, however, smaller than Covenant space stations such as High Charity and the Unyielding Hierophant.

An example of a CSO-class supercarrier is the Long Night of Solace.

The Infinity is 3.5KM in length. The closest thing in the Covenant Navy to that is an Assault Carrier, the closest ship, anyway.

Awesome, do I get a cookie now?

no elites is the one thing in halo 4 i am actually annoyed about.
I don’t really mind the custom load outs, i don’t really mind the dmr and br in the same game, nor do i mind the addition to sprint always active, but no elites crossed the line, i understand balancing reasons, but elites are core to the story, infact if elites where not in it, their would be no covenant because the prophet civil war would have eventually caused a catastrophic ending to their people, thus, no future alliance of species, no praised relics, no beleif in the halo array being a haven-like doorway, and thus, no war against the humans. no

no elites, their would have been no halo.
ofcourse those events have happened, its not like elites don’t exsist just because they are not in 1 games multiplayer, however, its going to be very different without them.

yet, story is not my point really, i just liked playing as them, and then seeing them in machinimas was very exciting, one even made them into a commedy, very funny.

Without them, multiplayer is going to feel very different for myself particulary, but i don’t expect everyone to agree with me, but i do expect you to understand where i am coming from.

Indeed you do.

UNSC Infinity with the SPARTAN-IVs vs. CEN Long Night of Solace with Sangheili…that would be an awe-inspiring battle.

Whilst the Infinity is significantly smaller, that makes it a swifter and harder target, and the Infinity has Forerunner technology installed on her, giving her the tech advantage.

Have they been denied of even being in Custom Games? I would hate to see them leave, even though I rarely play as an Elite, they bring such differentiation into Halo. Matchmaking is fun with them, but some Custom Games just require you to play as an Elite.

Bringing them back would be great.

Thankfully they havnt been denied for such things yet…still, we need to wait a bit more to read what 343 has to say about all of this…if they read this topic or not though…

nothing

Technologically? Nothing the Sangheili currently posess. In terms of size? CSOs outclass the Infinity. I doubt the elites have many, if any left though.

guys if you havnt checkout this thread discussing why the Elites are against Humanity again, do it. There are some very great responses in it and i’d promote any and all Sanghieli fans to check it out. (not my thread. Credit goes to JuggaloGanjaGod)

If 343 is trying to intertwine Multiplayer and story elements so much, why wouldn’t they include the Elites?

Like you stated above, there are certain to be some Elites allied with humanity, and the possibility of an entire faction led by the Arbiter siding with humanity is more than enough to have Elites included in MP.

I mean, come on. If Matchmaking is just training, wouldn’t it make sense for Elites to be thrown in there since we are on the brink of going to war with the ones who want to destroy humanity again?

And not to mention that all of Matchmaking is a simulation, which should allow for the Elite to be a virtual form that a Spartan or whatever can take on.

Oh man. If Elites aren’t playable in Halo 4, 343 better have a really really good excuse for it.

Spaghetti in Halo 4? Now I’m hungry…
