Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Halo CE multiplayer was fine without them, and so will Halo 4’s MP.

> Halo CE multiplayer was fine without them, and so will Halo 4’s MP.

Halo: Ce’s multi-player was new 10 years ago and didnt had any xbox live at the moment. Things are a hell of a lot more different now, and we got alot of people supporting for the Elites. So next time ya make a post, try being more smart and think about the community for both the Spartans the Elites players. Cause those are huge numbers.

Halo crap! 423 thanks for the OP. That’s quite somethin’ right there.

> Both of you are exceptionally naive about the game of Halo apparently. Simulations happen on video games all of the time, and since none of the spartans in MM are actually real, your point is nothing but invalid.

Spartan controllers are present and they are viewing it from the perspective of realism. I.E. They are being trained on their senses to be able to handle death, blah blah blah.

> However, the Sangheili are at a cease-fire with humanity. There is no reason why elites cannot be playable in Halo 4.

On the Inifinity, the place where MM is going to be taking place, there’s no reason for them to be there.

> The only reason why Sangheili are discriminated against is because people always complained about how they couldn’t kill elites on halo 2 and 3. You spent too much time complaining about it instead of discovering the vulnerabilities of elite player models, because there are many.

They were difficult to kill, true, but please don’t toss me down with those guys. I’m happy for my SWAT kill times against elites.

> Halo crap! 423 thanks for the OP. That’s quite somethin’ right there.

Well it does proove that if you put time, effort, and thought into making a discussion about something important, then yeah…no wonder he does get alot of thanks.

> Halo crap! 423 thanks for the OP. That’s quite somethin’ right there.

Indeed it is. I was humbled when I hit 50 thanks. I never imagined this much support. 425 and counting is unbelievable.

> Halo CE multiplayer was fine without them, and so will Halo 4’s MP.

Care to elaborate? So one games success means that another completely different game will be successful in the same manner? There was no elite community in CE to disapont, there is now.

What are you trying to accomplish?

> look the war with the covenant is over that is why halo 4 has no elites, that and the fact it is all surround by the fact it is on a unsc ship

Over? Explain how we are being attacked by elites in the first mission? Explain how covenant have been confirmed for the campaign?

Secondly, its a simulator. They are practicing in a giant simulator. “We’ve all run the simulations, they’re tough but they ain’t invincible.” -Johnson in halo 2 referencing the scarab walking over their head.

If they can simulate scarabs, why not elites? WOuld it honestly be so hard.

No.

I’m guessing custom games and forge won’t technically be part of the Infinity multiplayer. So Elites, and possibly other species, should be playable.

> I’m guessing custom games and forge won’t technically be part of the Infinity multiplayer. So Elites, and possibly other species, should be playable.

That’s insulting though. Why should a whole community be forced to play outside of what is now basic multiplayer (I.E. MM). And have to do taboo things like Forge and Customs just to be the species they want?

Halo 2 and Halo 3 got on JUST FINE with Elites. Halo 4 can too. Injecting plot into the competitive multiplayer of a game is just a pointless idea anyway.

I’d rather they make a dedicated Spin-off game to elites, than have them half-heartedly implemented into halo 4.

I don’t call that half-heartedly, I call it common sense. Noone’s gonna notice the difference in the size of the Elite in a long range engagement. It really doesn’t make a canonical difference if Multiplayer Elites are scaled to .8x their normal size for the sake of having the same proportions as Spartans. The thing is there is a rather large fanbase for them, and not having them is a limited mistake.

In Halo Reach they made a mockery of Elite fans by turning their player model into nothing more than a GIMMICK, and then only giving you that gimmick to play with one in 20 or so games. It’s ridiculous, and I was personally INSULTED by it. All they did was spit in the faces of Elite fans.

Halo: Sanghielios: Experience first-hand the Sanghieli-Jiralhanae war directly after the events of Halo 3. Step into the horseshoe boots of an Elite and wage war against the Brutes.

Invasion could return too! but instead of Spartans it was Brutes.

Oh I wasnt making fun of it either, I just think that it sounded pretty bad -Yoink- to play.

when you said

> Oh I see what you did there…

i misunderstood and thought you thought i was being sarcastic

i dont know why they wanted to put a story in multiplayer. why make a reason why guys in red and blue super suites endlessly kill each other. how does it simulate different environments… its a hologram deck. OK. how do they respawn? how do weapons spawn? i think some questions are should be left unanswered. I can understand they want stuff to carry over to your spartan four but i dont think a story behind multiplayer was nessesary. the only thing its doing is keeping elites out of MM.
