Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Haters would be hating, but we would still be buying such a game anyways :stuck_out_tongue:

Halo 2’s covenant levels were probobly the highest rated levels in the game!

This is Sniper0092 from deviantart, I have a halo waypoint profile.

A Halo spinoff of the conflict between the Elites and the Covenant would be quite interesting. I would definitely have to pick that up. Of course, I’d need every Halo game to add to my collection, being the Halo obsessed (and good-looking) nerd I am, but I always found the placing myself as the antagonist of my primary and preferred side very interesting. Especially since the novels and the Halo anime adaption told the Sangheili stories amazingly well. And let’s face it, a dino-only multiplayer would also be rather interesting.

Of course, I doubt they would make a completely separate multiplayer specifically for that spinoff. If anything, they’d probably do what they did with Halo 3: ODST and add Halo 4 multiplayer content to the game as a bonus (if it was released within Halo 4’s time period). Perhaps they would do what they did for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and add plenty of Elite multiplayer playlists for those who bought the game. 343i knows that the Sangheili community is rather small compared to the SPARTAN community (no offense). But if anything, that could benefit for those who’d want an ‘Elite multiplayer’ system.

Back in an interview (I forget which one), 'O Connor admitted that 343i thought of remastering Halo: Combat Evolved’s competitive multiplayer and adding that to the Halo: CE remake. Unfortunately, it would steal a bunch of online players from Halo: Reach, and 343i didn’t want that to happen. And let’s face it, playing as a redefined MJOLNIR Mk. V SPARTAN in a classic multiplayer with modernized graphics? Since most of Halo’s fans are SPARTAN fans, there would be a high chance that a lot of people would start playing that instead.

In 343i’s eyes, the Sangheili community was rather small, so it wasn’t going to be that dramatic of an effect on Halo’s multiplayer, so they took them out. If they had the same conscience, they would make a bunch of Halo 4 Elite playlists for Elite fans in multiplayer. 343i would be pleasing a lot of fans that way, and securing their title as Halo’s rightful owners. Elites haven’t been confirmed to be opted out of multiplayer completely. They specified that they would retire from COMPETITIVE multiplayer. Who knows, they could be revealed to still have a place in Halo’s multiplayer. And a Sangheili spinoff title could be all it takes to bring Elites back into competitive multiplayer.

Since there hasn’t been any confirmation on a spinoff yet (and a near-future spinoff is highly unlikely), how about we take the time to plan the story for the Elite equivalent of Halo 4 multiplayer? Maybe the Covenant had a brutal arena-based training for soon-to-be Sangheili warriors? Perhaps it was all a simulation, as for SPARTAN IVs? Just tossing these out there. I guarantee the actual Elite fans will come up with something far more better.

"rtunity to play weekly missions that relate to that fiction. This mode will provide an outlet once you complete the Campaign to further the story past the game’s end.

Spartan Ops is part of the Halo 4 package, i.e., not paid DLC.

Our vision for the Halo 4 multiplayer experience is to continue the tradition of giving you the tools to craft your own custom experience. A lot of these settings can be tweaked, and, right out of the box, you can put the disc in and have the experience you want in system link games, tournaments, etc. Giving players choices, and empowering them to make choices for how they want to play, is a priority for us. "
that was in the bulliten…so what do you think… good chance elites are in?

“I only pray that you are right…”-Major, The Package, Halo Legends.

1st let me state that I understand why Bungie limited Elite play in Reach (due to issues in Halo 3) which I respect greatly.

2nd Let me state that while I prefer being a Spartan 75-90% of the time I do greatly enjoy being a Sangehili warrior and would LOVE to see them return as an equal MM player option.

Now then. As long as they fixed/altered the bodily proportions/animations of the Elite’s movement so headshots are just as easy/difficult to preform on them as it is to their human counterparts- I am FULLY for the return of Elite players in all of MM.

Of all the things people are advocating for or against in Halo 4, many of which are actual franchise altering mechanics, the need to play as a purple alien in multiplayer (especially in a FPS) is by far the stupidest thing I have had the luxury to come across.

I was wondering why the Halo of old seems to be slipping away…this thread is why…it’s a -Yoinking!- shame…priorities people…priorities.

No elites in MM is pretty much the only piece of good news from 343 about Halo 4 so far.

> No elites in MM is pretty much the only piece of bad news from 343 about Halo 4 so far.

Fixed.

Me! Sure, I might not be using it, but its still imperative.

Also, what about Invasion?

A Shame? I think you sir got the got it all wrong. It’s actually quiet glorifying how so many people will continue to support the species thats been around since Halo: CE and continues to come around to Halo 4 now. Have you not ever played with other players in Halo 3 where even the elites support ya in Campaign and multi-player? We love Halo just as much as you do, but really…save the rudeness for something els.

Your ignorance is -Yoinking!- disgusting. Who are you to be tell anybody that their belief is unnecessary? If anybody’s, it’s your word that means nothing in this thread. Your point is invalid and I discredit everything you have to say about other fans’ opinions. And I don’t understand what you have against the Covenant. The Covenant had an unreasonable hatred towards humans, you have an unreasonable hatred towards Sangheili. You’re two of the same, so congratulations on embarrassing yourself and contradicting your belief in front of us. Now that it’s clear that nobody gives a damn what you have to say about Elites, turn around and -Yoink- off.

…Really…?

…Really…?

…REALLY…?

I don’t like to post just to simply insult, but you sir are a complete tool…

“HALOZ IS GETTING ALL BROKEN AND STOOPID CUZ PEOPLE WANT ELITEZ!”

…You sir, made a very well made Rage-Inducing Post, congrats, You win nothing

Incase it wasn’t obvious enough, I’m all for Elites being in Halo 4, it’s just a shame it seems to have gone the way of us not having those Glorious buggers in Matchmaking…

> You get nothing

I would deffinetly would play it! I love the sangheili,
and it’d be cool to fight on their home plaanet Sangheilios.
their average temp ranges from like 29 F to 132 F!

“Heresy…remove this filth!” -Stealth Elite from Halo Wars

This thread was out before we saw anything of halo 4…

Anyway, that is your opinion. We are the halo fans of old. If you havent noticed, most of us have been here since CE/2. The thing that brought some of us to the game were the elites, and they are a nice change from the standard or todays multiplayer video games.

Yes, we do want to have a nice, important peice of halo back.

Does that encesarrily mean that this is the only thing we post on? Do you honestly beleive this is the only thing that I care about?

Dont be stupid.

> No elites in MM is pretty much the only piece of good news from 343 about Halo 4 so far.

Okay, glad you dont like the BR then. Oh, i am also glad you like armor lock, cause most people were pretty happy when that was announced out.

Sorry you dont like halo 4. Bye bye, you wont be missed.

Geuss you dont like machinimas then, but seeing as how the al mighty logfish doesnt like them, lets just disapoint two large parts of the halo community.

Logic.

> >

> Well, seeing as Firefight was nerfed and Spartan Ops has been revealed to be a Spartans-only show, there aren’t many places to stick the Elites. So cooperative has been ruled out. Normally, that would leave Forge and Custom Games, but those are both competitive gametypes (albeit offline ones). So the answer is, 343i has probably left the Elites out of Halo 4 altogether.
>
> Another reason for me not to buy.

Blinks Forge is competitive… I really need to change my standards of competitiveness then…

I issue a forge battle? 1v1? Nope, still doesnt sound right…

Custom games isnt exactly comptitive, i mean, i dont know about you, but jenga tower seems pretty casual to me…

Just a thought.
