Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

in previous halo games you could play Coop offline 2 PLAYERS ONLY…im not sure if you could play 4 OFFLINE in halo 4…
I hope i made it simpler for you

I’m not sure if I’ve been insulted or not, but regardless…

All I know is, I heard it confirmed that 4-people splitscreen is in Halo 4. It follows that this feature will be available for campaign.

> I swear if this comes up one more time I am going to kill someone.

It keeps being brought up because it is the reason why people are looking to not including elites. To put it in a retrospective thought, how do you feel if your pro-spartan and anti-elite at the core, while still being polite, respectful, etc., but all the reasons you see in this thread is: I want to play as an elite in Matchmaking. and the counter response is not a statement, but a question at such people, asking them to find the means to answer the question based on the information already known. I’ve already stated this once before, but let me reiterate it: I want elites in Halo 4. I want to be able to bring the honor, power, and faith into the fold of Halo 4, but in the end, logic dictates there is no place for them. As for ONI, we’ll see what happens… afterall, the book cut out and we’ll see what occurs later. Who’s to know what the future holds after all, but the signs are very clear once you combine it all and produce a Halo logical response: elites are the LEAST of our worries and we will be needing them… more then ever before in the coming trilogy.

> Simulation or not, the moment ONI found out they were fighting elites again they would have taken all information they had on the Elites and thrown them into the simulation. Dont give me any of this “Who says they have this information” nonsense; their dumb but they arent stupid. They will have compiled enough information to put up an accurate simulation.

> There is no good and viable reasont the elites couldnt be in that simulation or in multiplayer.

The good and viable reason for Elites NOT being in has already been explained by me. The Spartan program, both II’s and III’s, has produced significant data. Based on this, the trilogy could go down two ultimate roads: Spartans were combat offensive death dealers and simply need to further enhance and train themselves to last better. the second road is humanity believes themselves to be superior and doesn’t want to include allies which they figure, won’t be daring enough to attack the UNSC again. Always a possibility for each road to be taken and if either of these is used, your looking at an issue of elites disappearing completely with the right “shift” in the Halo lore.

I don’t know if that follows… they might have meant that, but they didn’t say specifically that 4-player splitscreen would include campaign. Halo 2,3, and Reach all had 4 player splitscreen for multiplayer, but not for campaign, you had to do a system link, only two could play on one xbox. Personally, I would like for 4 player coop to be splitscreen for campaign, then it’s not awkward when you have 3 friends over and they want to play campaign but they have to take turns.

i dont know if anyone else noticed but the fan of the week is here to bring 343s attention:D

This thing is still going? The love for the Elites is amazing!

You be suprised on how big of a fan base the Sangheili do have for supporters actually

Indeed. Don’t be surprised this is why the Elites came into H2 MP because they were popular foes in CE. Fans wanted Elites in H2 MP then yet again in H3 and Reach. Lets hope 343 listens to our outcry for Elites to come in MP H4.

See, but those arent the reasons we have give. We have given many, viable reasons as to why the elites could be on that ship. We have given so many reasons as to why they can work for multiplayer, and yet no one takes notice. They just keep saying the same thing over and over again. The same questions. The same reasons. “The hitbox doesnt work.” “It doesnt fit with canon.” We have given tons of reasons as to why the hitbox can be changed and how it can be changed, along with reasons as to why it does fit with canon.

How does logic dictate agianst this? Think about it. Logically speaking, considering they had simulations for fighting SCARABS, in halo 2, what are the ods that with forruner tech that they cant program elites simulations? That is just illogical.

I do agree with your last statement. While i think its more important that they elites are back rather than how many toes are on a grunt, there are more concerning items. But i discuss those too. Literally, the only other item i have trouble with is the buying of weapons. There is no balanced way to do that. It literally is the essence of ubalanced, but i have discussed that too.

I must point out, the simulation. THey dont even have to be allied with the covenant. If they have enough technology to run simulations like that, then they have enough knowledge of elites to have some form of them in the simulation.

That at least makes sense to me.

I’m pro spartan and elite. I just dont want to see such a great part of halo go to waste.

I know, 47k views I think.

If anything least for private games

> If anything least for private games

Exactly. If we do not get them in competitive due to canon, why not custom games and forge. Those are not canon at all, so there should be no reason to leave the elites out.

yea…but the sad thing is, alot of elite players out there dont get a chance to see this thread becuase i found it on the 5th page…not becuase its inactivity…but becuase the people are making less important threads , with a less important subject…repeating the same thing over and over again

Isnt that why its our job to bring it back up anyways?

Wort Wort Wort. Please have me in custom games at least?

If they were just in Custom Games it would be the same as Reach. I personally am looking for improvement back towards the way Halo 3 worked. I’m hoping 343i Will change their mind about MM, but if I have to settle for just Customs, I don’t know if I’ll make the jump to Halo 4. My Halo career is growing extensive. Playing since Halo: Combat Evolved, and playing as an Elite since Halo 2. This all just might be a warning that it’s time to set down the controller.

At one point near the beggining i went through seventeen pages to save this thread… That was about the time the first look trailer came out…

But like you said, most of the threads i see now are about 3 things. Weapons (troll threads), grunts, or comparing the game to cod…

Its sickening really. And its true, unless you knew about this thread, you dont often go searching more than 2-3 pages back, so many threads get burried very quickly.

343, look at the posts. We are the largest, active thread that isnt involved some way with BS angel (Ala “Yo!” or Codes thread). Look at the support. Look at the people.

If you put the elites in the right way, the way they should haev been put in, then how many people can actually complain? No one can. And not only that you make the elite and Machinima communities very glad… Arent you trying to please everyone?

Silent

EDIT: Any word from ender on the Arum? I am starting to get worried that they stopped making it…

I hope it’s like H3 where you can play as an elite in any gamemode, and elites are customizable. Just make the elites have decent armor.

most of the H3 Elite armor looked like -Yoink!-

All they have to do is stand the elites upright like they do in Halo Reach, and scale them down to the size of a SPARTAN IV. It would work, because they’re the same size as a SPARTAN II. Only reason Elites were so big in Reach is because SPARTAN IIIs are smaller.

I feel the same way Telcam. I won’t be setting down the controller just yet, but things are looking grim… :stuck_out_tongue:

Agreed, though armor customization was new to Halo then, so I give them an A+ for effort. ;D
Hopefully we’ll get detailed AC for the Sangheili, like the Spartans did in Reach or better.
