Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> > >

And the Elite’s engaging the Spartan’s in that cut scene also followed the “One-at-a-time Attack Rule” and were slaughtered for it, despite being the best of the best Honor Guard’s.

> > -That is incorrect, too. That isn’t a plot demand, a Spartan could have killed Ripa Moramee, and Forge could have still volunteered to destroy the shield world.
> > -The Elites rushed the Spartans, 3 at a time, in waves. And to be honest, they didn’t seem to be honor guards, because honor guards are known to be present when a Prophet is in the vicinity, Regret left the Shield World before the final battle.
>
> -You were right about Jai, my apologies but my point still stand’s that Thel’Vadam defeated him.
> - This was a plot demand, The Spartan’s had to deal with the Elite’s while Forge had to deal with Ripa Moramee, realistically Ripa would have won that fight easily. But the plot intervened on behalf of Forge.
> - The Elite’s rushed the Spartan’s in a very dumb manner you would not expect of the best soldier’s the Covenant has to offer, that was a gross interpretation of them to make the Spartan’s look better then they are. They were indeed Honor Guard’s left behind by Regret to aide Ripa in protecting the Holy Fleet they discovered.

although i understand your reasons, they made each character win canon wise. Forge won because he out smarted Ripa by getting him to get cocky, and then catching him off gaurd. The elites had to rush them through the bridge which was not wide enough for them to use a better tactic. and Jai, i dont know anything about him but i will point out that Thel is equivilent to the Chief as far as strength and tactics go.

Personally, I like to pretend Halo Wars simply never happened. They represented Elites horribly. Why were Stealth Elites using Honor Guard Pikes? Why did they suck so bad? Why is Ripa portrayed with a Jiralhanae personality as an Elite? It simply isn’t possible for a regular marine to tackle an oversized Sangheili like Ripa. There is no way Forge could have swatted him down like that. Everything is just a big no. That’s probably why Ensemble dissolved as a company anyway.

Forge never tackled Ripa. he punched him, and Ripa just shrugged it off, then slapped him, threw him, kicked him etc. and then picked him up and choked him, and taunted, and Forge got smart and stabbed his knife in Ripa’s throat.

Ripa was obviusly the better fighter and they both knew it. But Moramee got too cocky with his strength.

and those werent stealth elites, they were a form of shunned honor gaurds… i dont know how to explain it but they had the rank of Honor Gaurd, but they were shunned and not allowed the armor of the gaurds.

and Ripa’s attitude was another sign of how cocky he was about his strength, just like the typical Jiralhanae. which, again, was his reason for death.

Skip to 1:10. He tackled Ripa. A physically impossible feat for any regular marine. Ripa’s punch would have shattered Forge’s rib cage in the first place, causing internal bleeding and shuffling around a few organs.

And please, explain to me how you know these are “shunned” elites? That was never said anywhere. The only time we see light blue colored elites is in Halo :CE. They were stealth elites. Hell, they even approach the Spartans in cloak.

sorry i havnt seen the video in a while.
but if you notice, when forge tackled Ripa, Ripa was standing on the very edge of a lip on the platform. so even the small human could tip him over. and maybe Ripa did break his ribs. And forge ran off of adrenaline. we would never know since he was never checked by a medic.

and all elites have cloaking abilities. if you notice on Halo 2 level the Arbitor, at the begining the Minor elites were using cloak.

and following Sanghieli culture, high ranked warriors would lose their higher ranked equipment when shunned. so i put 2 and 2 together.

Edit: also back to the point about Forges ribs. When Ripa picks him up, if you notice Forge is gripping his side in pain.

shunned elites gets executed, commit suicide or become arbiters, and since they already have one, they can’t be “shunned”.

they were shunned probobly for gaurding a fellow elite opposed to a Prophet. and having an important role in those events, it probobly would be even more disgraceful to commit suicide.

Not really, I doubt they would send dishonored soldiers in limited numbers to guard “holy” relics

  1. He wasn’t on the edge
  2. To begin with there is no way Ripa would have missed two sword slices in a row
  3. Even if he was on the edge, there is no way Forge could move him. Ripa is 8’1", 382lbs.

Those are Spec Ops Elites. Renowned for using cloak…

Where did that ever happen? Becoming an Arbiter is not an example because that requires a Rank change. You claim these are still Honor Guards. It simply isn’t true. Their armor color and active camouflage use support this.

Actually it’s not disgraceful to commit suicide in their culture. Captured elites usually do it. and what you said is completely speculation founded on no fact what so ever. And no, not all elites have cloak, just the arbiter, stealth elites and special operations. And if your chest is caved in, you can’t go off adrenaline, because your ribs have punched into your body and have probably punctured key organs, like the lungs. So he should have spat up blood when he tried to talk back to the arbiter and passed out when he picked him up by the neck and his ribs moved around while stuck inside his organs.

Ripa was never known as the strongest warrior. he had sloppy technigue. and at the time, was playing with Forge.

and i guess i dont have a counter to your other statements.

and yes he was on the edge. not edge as in edge of the bridge, but im talking about a step kind of thing

those are good points. but his chest didnt cave in, thats a key factor. there is a HUGE difference between breaking ribs, and caving in your chest

ribs poking into his lungs and organs, picked up by the throat, would not be able to speak except to spit up blood and certainly not make a knife materialize and punch it through his armor, or land correctly when he was dropped to the ground or jog over to where ripa left his sword, or pick it up because it was heavy and ornamented.

> Ripa was never known as the strongest warrior. he had sloppy technigue. and at the time, was playing with Forge.

Look at the Offical Guide, and I’m pretty sure on the Player card too. Ripa is known for being big, strong, and brutal. There is just simply no possible way that anything in that cutscene made any reasonable sense. You just can’t defend it. It’s a load of garbage. The facts don’t match up.

have you ever even broken your ribs?? they dont poke into your lungs and organs.
and the arbitor armor doesnt have armor where forge stabbed him, its a leathery ty[e suit.

he was playing with Forge. ive said it many times, Ripa was cocky.

The arbiter armor has shields, even a spartan needs to hit twice to make shields drop with an armor multiplying their strength a couple hundred times, so a typical human? I don’t think so.

We will see about the Elites in Matchmaking, maybe it will be Reach’s equivalent to an Inheritor. You know, waste you life and get an Elite as a playable option. I’ll miss my Elites.

Why would he play when there was three spartans that weren’t paying attention to him only a few meters away? I wouldn’t gloat over a killed sergeant when I could claim the glory of being the one that killed three demons. The whole thing is just so wrong. Okay fine, saying his chest probably caved in was a exaggeration, but you don’t can’t exactly fight when your ribs are broken or speak and breathe when you are hit like that, the wind is literally knocked out of you from less than that.

> > > ribs poking into his lungs and organs, picked up by the throat, would not be able to speak except to spit up blood and certainly not make a knife materialize and punch it through his armor, or land correctly when he was dropped to the ground or jog over to where ripa left his sword, or pick it up because it was heavy and ornamented.

is that so? then how come you can kill an elite with a knife in one hit on Reach?

and besides, if Ripa was even using his shields, then you would of seen it shimmer when forge tackled him.
