Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

343i said that, they were not going to have, them in competitive

But maybe they will have, them in, custom games or spartan ops…

Good luck but I dont think its going to help …

Elites are not playable in Halo 4 because multiplayer is story-based and Elites aboard UNSC Infinity does not make sense. That said, keep some Microsoft points handy to purchase a DLC pack introducing a special group of “renegade” or “good” Elites who choose to join the UNSC Infinity and are available for multiplayer.

Arbiter from Arby n’ the Chief will have to start using a Spartan model…

really…that would be a rip off…
but better than none at all

Meh . . . I could care less about Elites.

I shudder to think of having to play elite slayer . . .

I dont see why there shouldnt be elites on the infinity because elites and humans were at a truce, i know that elites are attacking at the start of H4 but that could just be a large rogue group, im sure not all elites would have been happy with the truce, so elites on the human side should be training with the UNSC.

That being said i dont really mind that theyre not in it, and who knows, arby might turn up

…im happy most of the people on the site are beggining to acknowlege this thread…
im also suprised…compared to what we expected at the beggeining

So you do care? ‘I COULD care less’. So you care to a certain degree?

Elite Slayer wasn’t the greatest invention, but it wasn’t horrendous.

To all the idiots who still wonder if Elites are in multiplayer or not. NO, they are not in multiplayer, and NO the Arbiter is not in Halo 4’s Campaign. But Elites could be playable seeing as the Arbiter will be seen in some Spartan Ops missions.

Please, try not to flame.
The moderators already confirmed the post made by “Frankie”, on NeoGAF, was a fake.
It was photoshopped and directed at the Sangheili fans.

youve never played Halo 2 or 3 have you? there is no Elite Slayer, because teams are mixed between elites and spartans. whatever species you picked is what you are in multiplayer, it doesnt depend on the playlist.

> Ah, Invasion. I’ve always liked Invasion; it gave me an opportunity to play as an Elite in a Spartan dominated game.
>
> Besides, it’s the actual war, not just a training simulation. It’s very refreshing, but that might be just me. I hope it remains, if only the see Elites back again.

I’m sure that invasion and firefight will return in some form or another, even if it’s a spartan ops mission.

Yeah, but we have given tons of canonical reasons why they could be on the infinity… That or at least in the simulator.

You really, really should not have psoted that… I swear, you guys are throwing me into the brink of insanity.

WE KNOW THAT. Honestly, if you would bother to read one page back, we have discussed this a million times. We know the arbiter is not confirmed, is it wrong that we want the elites in multiplayer. Is it going to kill you people that we want one tiny aspect of the game that ultimately affects nothing accept the skin we wear back. Honestly, you call us idiots. Do some research 2 pages back in this thread for pity sakes before you post this.

The post saying the abriter will be in Spartan ops was fake.

Elite slayer wasnt that bad. It wasnt great because the maps were horrible, but it wasnt the worst gametype ever invented.

Thats ok that you dont care tomuch about elites, but i must point somethig out. What if a trilogy revolving around elites and the ariter were to be introduced. I am almost certain you guys would be fighting to the death to get the spartans back…

How about a little pat on the back, some considration even with an expectation. You scrath my back, ill scratch yours?

I just noticed Elites have 4 fingers now lol.

> I just noticed Elites have 4 fingers now lol.

Same with the grunts toes… kinda strange really… But honestly, i doubt it will affect much.

And the Elite’s engaging the Spartan’s in that cut scene also followed the “One-at-a-time Attack Rule” and were slaughtered for it, despite being the best of the best Honor Guard’s.
> >

>
> -Jai-006 isn’t dead, your information is incorrect.
> -That is incorrect, too. That isn’t a plot demand, a Spartan could have killed Ripa Moramee, and Forge could have still volunteered to destroy the shield world.
> -The Elites rushed the Spartans, 3 at a time, in waves. And to be honest, they didn’t seem to be honor guards, because honor guards are known to be present when a Prophet is in the vicinity, Regret left the Shield World before the final battle.

-You were right about Jai, my apologies but my point still stand’s that Thel’Vadam defeated him.

  • This was a plot demand, The Spartan’s had to deal with the Elite’s while Forge had to deal with Ripa Moramee, realistically Ripa would have won that fight easily. But the plot intervened on behalf of Forge.
  • The Elite’s rushed the Spartan’s in a very dumb manner you would not expect of the best soldier’s the Covenant has to offer, that was a gross interpretation of them to make the Spartan’s look better then they are. They were indeed Honor Guard’s left behind by Regret to aide Ripa in protecting the Holy Fleet they discovered.

> My apologies, but as I’ve worked many years into my college degree, I have come to find a distrust and non-credible source on wikipedia pages. As a direct result, I scroll down and view the actual source info when I am doing searches that land me on such pages. Please point me to the source you wish me to read and review.

This should explain it best. If you want go ahead and watch Star War’s Episode IV if you need further confirmation. This is just one of many serie’s were this “Stormtrooper Effect” is noticeable and in Halo it was most greatly exaggerated in Halo Wars.

> While I cannot speak for the reasons in a video game, a piece of my personal history is I am associated with a non-profit, non-sectarian martial arts organization and in direct involvement with that for over 5 years, I became associated with LARPing (Live Action Role Playing), but in a more… realistic fashion if you will. As a result of this, I was able to travel the U.S., performing at events in multiple cities ranging from scripted and unscripted “war” scenarios all the way up to jousting. Out of this experience I came into learning many forms of combat including honor bound “this prey is mine for the glory of my name” combat all the way up to, “I shall fight this [insert insult word here]. Leave him be.” As I am unaware of the reason why the elites would fight in such a manner, this is one possible explanation. To be the lite which brought down a demon.

That sound’s really awesome actually, I’m envious >.> but on topic Forge wouldn’t be classified as a Demon in the eye’s of the Covenant. I could see Ripa’s behavior if that were a Spartan he was engaging, but that whole cutscene was the Stormtrooper Effect turned up to max.

> Plot armor, in our experiences, allowed us to die. Many times pending difficulty and player skill. With the game’s plot designs around giving players a learning curve to understand what they would be facing over and over again, (As in, when you entered an area, there was no random generation to reveal instead of elites, now you have brutes, etc.) as a result, players could predict what to do, where to go, and what clearly wasn’t working…

I wouldent say Plot Armor applies during gameplay, because if you die during your trek through The Library on Legendary (which you most certainly will atleast a few time’s) that is obviously non-canon because Master Chief grab’s the index and canonically never died on The Library, or any of his mission’s for that matter.

its because of the liscencing. 343 had to make changes to everythings design becasue the old designs were all bungies.
