I saw the trailer, and it seems 343 is actually doing something good for Halo. I saw the classic Sangheili Elites and both versions of Unggoy, the basic phenotype from Bungie, and the new goblin bois from 343. This makes a new idea relevant (especially for the Banished) a new enemy based on memes surrounding the H4/5 Elites, and how they looked like Brutes. Well, the 343 Sangheili have a different culture on Sangheilios’ moon, and instead of favoring covert tactics and roundhouse kicking Noble Six’s sorry bottom back to Earth, their prowess in combat makes them truly elite. The Jiralhanae of the Banished will respect these “Berserkers” as their leaders, since they have proven that a Berserker is much stronger than both an Elite and a Brute. This is why Halo 5’s Berserkers seem to lumber towards the player, and seem so brutish, as Jul 'Mdama’s Remnant favored the Berserkers over the Elites. We shall see these guys accompanying a pack of Brutes, leading the pack in the absence of a Chieftain.
I hope y’all liked my idea to make Halo a bit more interesting. These guys would either use Brute weapons, the Brute Plasma Rifle, or a new weapon, a Sangheili Spiker. I’d bet you’d see them with either a Brute Plasma Rifle or their own Spiker variant.
I think having diversity among the different species us generally a fun idea. I noticed one of the jackals in the demo was super lanky. Will we get the classic and retilian Jackals as well? Maybe skirmishers?
I hope we will, Forerunners be praised.
Here’s another idea for the Kig-Yar…
3 variants, the Jackal (Ruutian, sniper, very annoying, the bird is the word), the Ravager (Ibie’shan, reptilian, shield wielder) and the Skirmisher (Tvaoan, knows how to Naruto, DODGES YOUR BULLETS).
cool idea. When I fist saw this forum I thought you meant elites with 2 plasma grenades, so basically suicide grunts with faster movement (maybe a suicide brute that charges you with grenades as final resort after you deal enough damage? Call it the Brute Fanatic?) I think the idea of a sangheili spiker is cool, maybe a regular spiker but it has an energy bayonet instead of the normal blades brutes put on the end of basically all their weapons?

Storm Zeta Halo! They can’t stop us all!
But yes, the Banished more savage nature could lead to some really cool enemy variants. The berserking drop-pod brutes, Craig memes aside, were actually pretty cool.

A Spiker, but the needles are blue and made of plasma, so it will drain your shields, as well as kill you. Like a 2 in 1 gun, also an energy bayonet. The Berserkers, if you didn’t guess already, are the 343 Sangheili (these are not called Elites, it’s sort of a Jackal/Skirmisher thing)

sure. It could explain the plot hole
