Sangheili attacked Master Chief isn't part of the Sangheili empire

UPDATE: Not Covenant, but the Sangheili empire

The Sangheili attacking Master Chief isn’t in the Sangheili empire and I can prove it
1: Look at his armor: he’s not wearing standard military armor, which Cortana tells Master Chief
2: The Sangheili attacks him with an Energy Sword, his armor color is blue, a low ranked Snagheili. Low ranked Sangheili couldn’t use an Energy Sword, those were used for higher classes. This must be a rouge group of rebellious Sangeheili and other factions of remaining Covenant troops.
3: Could be part of Jul 'Mdama’s rebellion against Thel 'Vadam, who is in alliance in Humanity

That definitely makes sense, that also explains why the grunts looked so weird, not really as an artistic choice, but more of a way to differentiate who is on which side.

yea

  1. Actually, minors can use swords. Swords aren’t restricted to rank. Remember this?

The rank did not make a diffrence if they could use a sword or not but im hopeing they are just scavangers or pirates might explain why they look so skinny as for the grunts i dont know 343 just messed up the look of them.

the elites still look like elites, just with different armor, which could be a result of several different things…the grunts…no, just no

Hope you are right. I still want some Sangheili allies in the Halo universe.

I’d imagine they can all use swords to some extent, but keep in mind i’m pretty sure the Elite being a Minor in that video is an oversight, since Minors aren’t allowed to use swords, it was supposed to be a Spec Ops. Plus, Minors don’t have Active Camo.

Check out my theory

I guess 343i have changed the Dawn to have a breathable atmosphere now? I always thought that the situation at the end of Halo 3, stuck in a broken ship in vacuum, was one of the big reasons why the Chief immediately climbed into the cryotube.

Could have had a Ranger Elite at this point, but I guess thats not at scarey as seeing an unmasked Elite up close.

I have not finished Glasslands, but I was thinking the same thing.

Frankie already confirmed factions for the new trilogy but I’d say your close to on the money.

Not sure it’s vacuum, Cortana could’ve sealed the doors and such nearby, plus whatever was supplying the air could still be intact, hence there being ice in the teaser trailer even after 4 years. She probably only kept certain areas pressurized to save on the air, but still.

As for why John went into cryo, there’s two reasons. One, there’s nothing to do but wait around for something to find them, and two, he’d be hella tired from everything he’s been through (he hasn’t had a chance to really rest since the beginning of Halo 2). In fact, apparently his personality changes a bit in Halo 4, due to the stress and hell he’s been through, not to mention dealing with Cortana’s possible rampancy.

It was stated that there were areas of the Dawn that were in a vacuum and areas that weren’t.

I think there’s a running gag on Minors wielding Swords. In several of the motion comics a Minor would constantly hold a sword. If I remember correctly, the Halo Reach trailer even had a Minor wielding a sword.

Sometimes when I see the word sangheili I think of the word spaghetti.

Thats what I’m thinking, the Elites wouldn’t break their truce with the humans after discovering what Halo and the Ark’s true purpose was. We just gotta wait for more info on that though.

The Elites as a whole don’t have a truce with the Humans, just the ones under the Arbiter’s command. Read Glasslands.

I always thought the energy sword was only used by high ranking elites because it is a symbolic weapon?
