In addition to this, you should really check out the novel Broken Circle by John Shirley. It goes into great depth on the San’Shyumm, especially during the first half.
I would like to see them return but I only liked how they were the main villans. And how you beat one to death. No offense Lord O Prophets
Shadow of Intent mentions that quite a few of them got away from High Charity…they’re out there somewhere, possibly plotting revenge.
Maybe we’ll see more of them in Halo 6

According to Halo: Cryptum, book one of the Forerunner saga, the San Shyuum were apparently a beautiful race, mentally and physically in the time of the Human-Covenant war. I wish I could see what they looked like during this time.
I do too, I mean they were a powerful race, they harnessed power and beat some of the strong species.

I read the book and believe it left gaps, do you think any survived.
The Sangheili killed a lot of them, even chasing them across half the galaxy, as revenge for what the Prophets did to them.
I hope they return. I think they are crucial to the Halo Universe. I believe they will prove must species wrong. I don’t disagree with what the Sangheili did to the San’SHyuum, but in the series it has made a point of some San’Shyuum treating them as quals and being nice to them, not to mention they were lied to too.
