many of you have already seen some screenshots from post-games, where u see the same ranking system like reach!
i´m very disappointed about that fact, and it´s sad to see, there will not be a skill based ranking system (like in H2 or H3).
So every nerd and low-skill player will have higher ranks as a really nice halo-gamer, who wants to get competitive on H4.

There are many things wrong with Reach… but… I actually like it… O.o
So, from a couple of screenshots and short clips…you are saying it is going to be like Reach. Stop making rash judgments and wait until more details come out. If you go around saying that its going to be like Reach to everyone and it turns out its nothing like Reach, then you will look like an idiot! Wait until we have a confirmed ranking system then make your opinion known. But don’t just go on a couple of screenshots and video clips.

“Frankie has reach A-7” I find it odd you are saying exactly like reach based off a bar that shows your experience.

I know it hasn’t was just trying to make point obviously didn’t work haha

And Frankie did say in some video after E3 that it was ONLY a placement
there wasn’t anything really wrong whith reachs system, the problem was more with the rewards.
halo 4 using a similair system is not a bad thing, actually it can be considered good because it will be what keeps people playing the game, they will keep playing because they want to unlock better weapons, armour and that, without this they’ll soon get bored and go to other games that offer this system.
I hope you aren’t referring to that old Reach placeholder picture. Also if your talking about the progression system, you don’t know whether it’s the halo 3 or Reach xp system.
Also the placeholder for Frankie reaching A-7, goes to show that there may be a skill ranking system. So calm down.
How about 343 make an option to turn the halo 3 ranking on or off.
When you pick a playlist you will have the halo 3 ranking system next to your normal rank.
Hope that helps against some complains.

Nothing is confirmed. As you have seen is the post game from a CUSTOM GAME.
Not only is the game unfinished, but you are just picking things out from the post game report of a CUSTOM GAME.
We have not seen what may be implimented as far as playlists go. We may have ranked playlists. Perhaps the ranks we see now may just be a global progression rank, which everyone should be fine with. There is nothing wrong with MULTIPLE ranking systems.
Allow me to give you a situation. You go into the ranked Team Objective playlist. You see that your opponents are level 10. However, thanks to the global progression rank, you see that he is also an Inheritor, so obviously, he’s not new to the game. You can plan ahead accordingly, knowing that he has been around a while.

God you idiots are making trash judgements when you have no idea what you’re talking about. Halo 4’s ranking is not like Reach’s and its not like Halo 3’s. It looks like it has the best of both worlds. And it has been confirmed to include true skill.
How about you wait for the final game and after 343i discuss in-depth the ranking system instead of basing your conclusions off of an early E3 build that likely has some placeholders.
I have no problem with reach’s ranking system. I liked it more than Halo 3’s
In one of the Sparkcasts, Frankie and David joke about how they just gave themselves 50s. Might have just been talking without thinking, but hopefully that is them saying there is a 1-50 system in place.
Not saying that it’s true, but what if they’re just using the layout that the Reach rank up progress used, but it shows the progress of Exp instead of cR? That could be a factor. Just showing how much more Exp you need to rank up.
