So, with the announcement of assault goung into BTB I grabbed a few halo buddies and jumped right in. And what a complete waste of time and effort it was. First was the appalling connections, I live in the UK playing on focused, so why am I playing against Mexicans? Who in their right mind believes this is the best possible connection for me? Secondly, those teams that use objective based games to do nothing but pad out their KDA! I have always argued the point that in objective KDA shouldn’t count and there should be another metric based on win/lose that way teams will want to win a game other than score once then hammer a team for the next 20 mins bulking up a KDA that, and lets be honest here means absolutely nothing to anyone else.
They added new btb maps and btb assault playlist. They never said anything about updating servers or anything.

That may be, but I feel this players pain. We get excited for stuff like this, and get inspired to play again. I jumped back in after about a week off, and the servers issues are still very disappointing. I ended up trying out some Halo 4 on MCC just to what’s up. Had some good nostalgic games.

A nice healthy dose of nostalgia does take the edge off every now and then, in fact I’m thinking about doing a solo legendary run for the OG Halo trilogy on MCC just to mix things up a bit.
People always talk about farming their KDA in btb but to be honest I never really see it to often. Every now and then I go against a team that annihilates us but for the most part it’s just fun.
There re is those matches however where you go against a bad team in ctf and they just sit in their base the whole entire game. I really wanna kill them because not only aren’t they playing the objective but they’re also not getting kills.

It’s more people don’t play the objective, they just kill and kill. Farming isn’t common, but people who pad are pretty easy to spot.
