Same Maps Over and Over.......

I think it’s an issue that has gone on to be a problem for more people than just myself, and sure I’m gonna get flak by people who don’t often get this issue, but when playing Warzone it’s always Assault on Stormbreak, Summit, Escape from ARC and Dispatch. If it’s not those two maps for 5 matches in a row, it’s 5 matches of Raid on Apex 7. When playing Arena, it’s always the Rig, Fathom, Truth, or Regret, over and over. I feel this is a problem, because 8 out of 10 times it’s the same maps. I have only got to play one of the new Arena maps twice since they came out originally in the Cartographer’s Gift update.

It really needs to be an option to vote on maps that come through, so it’s not a consistent play through of the same maps. I enjoy variety, not repetition.

They need to just do a straight rotation…

Where you can always predict what the next map will be kind of like on Battlefield servers

what’s so hard about having a map rotation system where every map is cycled if you don’t leave the lobby??? I DON’T UNDERSTAND

Sure, why don’t we put voting back in so that I’ll never see an objective gametype being chosen ever again?

sarcasm aside, voting can just as easily result in repetitive map selections, sometimes even more so. I’m pretty sure the lions share of my MCC games in BTB were in Halo 4. If I ever see Exile again (I’m so tired of playing on it), it will be too soon. The solution should be a more varied rotation (or being able to stay in a lobby, what happened to this from the beta?) rather than to implement voting again.

The compromise on this matter could be a veto system, at least.

When I meant voting, I meant the veto system. Even a cycle would be fine. It is problematic for those like myself who continuously play the matches without leaving, only to fall victim to playing most of them over and over. Sure there’s little variety to begin with, but to play a different map each match rather than the same one in a row a dozen times would be optimal to me. Like said I knew a few would hit me with negative opinions for the topic, but negativity aside it is kind of an issue for people.

I at least would like to see the cycle, that way people still get to play gametypes they want without spamming the maps. I think by now, 343 Industries should have done something about this within the first week or month of Halo 5: Guardian’s release. I remember the first month it was really bad, it was Raid on Apex 7 and it’s Assault variant for 10 or 12 matches in a row, I can prove this many too. It infuriated me to the point I didn’t want to play Warzone for a long time. Now it’s fixed a bit, well, if playing the same three maps is really fixed.

I’ve played so many matches in Arena and haven’t even got to play Riptide yet! It is always Fathom, Regret, or oil rig map… It really should be cycling, especially for those who don’t leave matches.

oh but wait guys, the updates and improvements to this game are totally “data driven”

Some things in this game just can’t be accounted for in the data.

I had that at the beginning of the year. 15 out of 17 games were on ARC. Strangely I seem to be getting a perfect rotation at the moment, 4 Warzone games a night, each map only once.

I had Rain on Apex 7 and Dispatch for the Assault 4 times in a row today, it’s progressively gotten bad for me this past week.

Why so people can vote the same map over and over. The few times the game may give you the same map a couple of times in a row is why less than it will be if players could vote.

I can’t believe it has been over a year and it still is an issue, I just found out snipers came back and I love me some snipers. But I played Coliseum 6 times, The Rig once, and Molten 10 times in the past few hours. I took a break and played Swat between only to play on Eden 4 times and Truth twice. Maybe some Shotty Snipers will cool me down… Coliseum 3 times, and Molten 4 times. It’s cool, Super Fiesta got my back with 4 regrets. I actually wrote them down just because it started to make me laugh, I have never had map rotation (if that’s rotation) this bad before. It may just have been simply bad luck, but I am hesitant to touch snipers now.
