Same Boring AI?

Based off what I’ve seen from Warzone gameplay, the enemy AI hasn’t really changed much, if at all. It’s a little hard to tell from the footage we’ve seen, but from what I can tell, the AI for the covenant is identical to before (same dodge moves, same habits, same animations, etc.) The promethean soldiers, from what I’ve seen, behave almost identically to Elites. From the campaign footage, it appears as thought the crawlers are also the same as they were in Halo 4.

We are yet to see everything in this game, and I still hold to the hope that the floor are returning and that the Brutes might show up somewhere. I’m just really hoping that the AI animations and behaviors haven’t just been copied and pasted from prior games, as I am getting a little tired of fighting the same guys and using the same tactics over and over again.

Halo has some of the most varied AI unlike cod (do I want to shoot the man behind the crate or the man by the wall?) Even Destiny requires practically no tactics, just aim and
shoot. In Halo, elites jump around, grunts go crazy, Hunters circle strafe so you can’t get behind them so easily, etc.

Although the marine AI never seemed like the brightest ones…

They seem good in Halo 5. I’ve wittnessed warzone players get killed by them when they raid an enemy base.

I’m pretty sure Marines are smarter, at the very least. I saw them actually putting up a fight at some points in Warzone.

I think marine AI’s generally just been bad in the past in order to make the player feel needed. That limiter isn’t as important in a situation where other players have to fight them too (and now that spartans have more than just durability going for them).

In CE if you turned on them they seemed better at fighting the player than they were flood or covenant.
