Now that there is no visible ranking system, I am sure this will hurt 343 for at least a few thousand sales of Halo 4 in the first week. If they gave the majority what they wanted, I think maybe 20 or 30 people tops will not buy the game for that reason. Long term? I can easily see Halo 4 losing one hundred thousand sales or more over the next several years due to the game having a shorter lifespan thanks to there being no ranking system.
343 shot themselves in the foot despite all the people that told them not too.
If Reach managed to do alright sales wise, Halo 4 should sell like hot cakes. But I do encourage you to start off the trend and not buy the game. Please.

That is because nobody realized how bad halo would be with no ranking system. I sure didnt. And guess what? Reach’s long term sales were terrible compared to halo 3. Hmmmm

Microsoft still made a record profit, Halo 4 will do the same.

long term sales? People generally buy the game once and then some late followers buy the used version or something

Yeh, I had an absolute blast playing Halo Reach for the first month. Of course these guys are going to have a blast for their first few hours.

Yes he can post his concern that is ok .But he has started like 10 poinless threads That have all been locked .He is a troll not a valled Halo Player .
No it will not affect sales. Despite what the angry posters on this forum might indicate, only a small minority of the overall Halo playerbase that will buy the game actually care about a visible ranking system. Even those that are angry about the lack of it still end up buying the game anyway.

Right, it wasn’t because Reach was a fundamentally flawed game or anything. Also, you’re pretty quick to forget that CoD held the top two spots on the most played list, for two years, without a ranking system. So please, tell me how a ranking system is good for sales?
