i’ll never buy a halo game again… its a fun game dont get me wrong but the lag issues make this game unplayable and its not my connection it’s so bad u never get kills or get them late and never could set up a legit online tourny it’s just horrible… not to mention the lack of maps for game types and joining games that u have no hope of coming back in most of the time forced to quit the game… i have played halo from the first and yea they have been lag in them nowhere near as bad as halo4 i thought hell maybe they will fix it but it never happen GG for ruining the halo name…
P.S can i get a refund for this -Yoink- and yes i have had it from release date

Dude, there’s more to Halo than just the MP side of it, Halo started out as a Game with a campaign, and a LAN based MP attached to it a few weeks before release for kicks and giggles, and it was one of the most popular games of it’s time. And you want lag to go away, get a better connection, stick to games that don’t have AIs in them. But Halo 4’s lag isn’t as bad as say Halo CE’s Lag.
> P.S can i get a refund for this Yoink! and yes i have had it from release date
NO! Microsoft doesn’t give back refunds just because some guy got a game like Halo expecting a lag free game, when the lag could be easily linked to his own internet.
Again, before you start complaining to 343i about lag, check your internet speed.

lol can you read i said it’s not my internet…
and yea if they gave refunds half the copies that sold would go back i would bet my life on that and really campaign noone gives a -Yoink- about that honestly they took it in a weird direction noone i talk to likes… if it was about the campaign it would be a little longer don’t you think?
It might be your router. A friend of mine has decent internet. But because his router is total garbage he lags all the time. I have better internet and i hardly ever deal with lag. More then likely it’s something on your end if it happens all the time.

Agreed, most of my friends have anywhere from bad to good internet, and the only ones that have lag are ones with bad internet, or the crappy routers. Plus whenever I get lag, I reset my router and it fixes the lag.

When i get lag it’s because the game picked a bad host d: I have above average internet. Plus i started directly plugging myself into the router instead of using wireless on my slim. That way i take priority.

Double check your internet speed, and check your router, sometimes, the router might be a slower/older router, and ends up being a slower connection, plus sometimes a router needs to be reset every now and again, it does more than just reset the router, it also kicks any passive activity that your computer(s) might be doing.
The game is laggy and unplayable because the population is low (we all know why, well most of us know why). Population leads to kids from across the country and other countries being paired against and with each other.
Last time I played this game I was got paired up with and against people from England, Germany, and Spain on a consist basis.

I’m speaking about COD when i say it chooses a bad host. As far as halo goes 1/100 matches have lag for me. and 1/1000 have really bad lag. SO in short i never have a connection issue.
I very seldom have lag issues on Halo 4. The only Halo game I have that issue with is trying to play Halo CE Anniversary CoOP online with friends. You might just live in an area with -Yoink- internet servive, or you’re modem is far away from you Xbox so it has trouble connecting to Live. Besides that I don’t know what to tell you
I have crappy internet (peak at 180kb/s down) and I do get regular lag. But not enough for it to ruin the game, mostly I can still get decent games.
I answered “somewhat”, but it doesn’t ruin the game at all.

I live in the UK and I remember when I played Halo 3 I got matched with american and mexican people more than I did british (since loads of people used mics back then you could tell).

It HAS to be your internet.
Are you even sure what you’ve got on your download and upload?
Because even if you’ve got the best download nothing will change if you’ve got a crap upload.
I mean, I’m on wireless and I don’t have any problems sooo…
Have you also port forwarded? You might just have trouble/stress on your router/modem trying to connect to other players/host.
A friend of mine pulled host earlier tonight while he had nearly 1200 ping. I didnt know it at the time until he explained why everyone appeared to be constantly thruster pack nonstop.
Needless to say Host connections can be a bad thing. His father was downloading at the time which caused his connection to be so laggy.
One way to fix the majority of laggy host issues…two words: Dedicated servers.
