Sad truth about we got for paying 60$ for Halo infinite's campaign

They don’t discourage cheating. What are you smoking? Halo and games that require a separate sign in to play online can have account bans easily bypassed by just signing in with another account.

Seeing as i only really play story modes for everything, i pay 60(70 on ps5) for every single player game anyway. Paying 60 for a halo game isnt an issue for me, especially seeing as ill probably be playing the camapgon repeatedly anyway

I spend 60/70 fkr games i may beat in like 15ish hours, whereas ill pay 60 for here and play for hundreds of hours so idgaf paying for campaign full price even though i also have gamepass

Indeed a “cheapest” launch both plagued by the most horrible monetization and least content in the franchises history. What will future halo be like when new blood think this is the norm. This is the topic needed attention. I have no problem with mtx when they felt like “add on bonus” instead of basic features stripped away from pass titles

But the 60 price gets you the following
Campaign
Forge
Coop
And you have the mp.

So really nothing is taken away it just has a staggered release.
Is it ideal? Not at all.
But you effectively haven’t lost anything really.

Do I condone the monetisation model not at all.
But that isn’t really the topic you put forward.
Also this conversation has been had.
Theres more important issues to discuss imo.

60 purchase gets you access to the entire halo experience.
Just happens it isn’t coming at once.

I said that this was gonna be the case when we saw gears 5s release content it was the first step is the servicisation of Xbox ip to serve game pass.
Now there is a topic with more value.
The root of the issue vs the symptoms.

except there is no coop at launch, and forge won’t be in at launch.

Animal Crossing new Horizons had more content in it out of the box than this does

Did you read the thread before you chimed in?
We covered all thia

I have and you probably skipped over and put in your own two cents before actually reading or are a paid shill.

Even the game out of the box has less features and customization than Halo 3, which I hold as the baseline customization requirements.

I read every post.
And I tied to the general consensus.
If you have actually done the same you knew you had nothing to add to the discourse.
But chose to come in hot anyway and reiterate, poorly.
Then went on to call me a shill just because I pointed out you added nothing to the conversation. Bravo taco

Further the topic is what you get for a 60 dollar investment.

Not the launch suite those are infact separate topics believe it or not.
But there’s some conflating of topics happening here.

A good majority of people aren’t paying $60 for the campaign. Anyone with GamePass is getting it as a part of the package. Also, anyone not a current GP member, smart enough to do so, will probably use one of the 1 or 2 month promotions you get for a dollar or two. If unable to do that many will get a month or two for 15-30 dollars.

They only getting $60 from me man. Unless playable Sangheili season happens i ain’t spending a cent on anything but the campaign

I am not even surprised about the price, its had a huge marketing and actually a lot of barriers are being broken if they fix a few things on MP , but this campaiign seens short for now, my fear is this season stuff go Destiny 2 way, if they charge a new game price every season things gonna go south very very fast, and battlepass after lauch it will cause a lot of people to either leave or get agressive.

Well, as a GamePass game, it’s probably far more cost-effective to subscribe to Game Pass and get each campaign upgrade for free…like with Destiny 2.

With the discounts going on with the Christmas season, I usually get a full year for about the same price I would pay for a game at release.

Vitriolic and aggressive… ?

It literally only gets you SP, chill dude. Yes making a SP campaign takes all that work, and? You used to get all that work put into a great game + great multiplayer content (such as mix and matching colors…)

Now they slice the MP off as a an excuse to charge more for colors that used to come with that $60 you paid. It’s just insulting.
