The Flood expansion not being in the season pass is an insult.
It’s a damn rip off, you’re not seeing money from me this time, not to support such a low movement against the players.
I hate you CA and 343

This is also the point where I definitely have to say STOP.
This is nothing else than MILKING GAMERS.
I am so angry and disappointed with this policy that I am currently asking myself whether stop pre-ordering the Xbox One X or not. It seems to be the new philosophy and direction of Microsoft. An entire new Chapter and Level of crossing a red line which shouldnt be crossed. Absolutely a shame.
At the very least the season pass description should have mentioned that some content would not be included. I imagine many people, like myself, bought the season pass for the extra campaign content without giving a crap about multiplayer.
Very disappointing.
Wait a minute? I bought Starcraft 2 for 49.99. Then the 2nd expansion for 39.99… then the 3rd expansion for 39.99.
Is $20 for a whole new full campaign and honestly new work done for models and let alone blur cinematics too much??
You do know it has been said that Blur costs nearly 1 million dollars production cost per minute of cinematics. That was stated back during Halo 2 Anniversary
343: Hey, let’s give the community what they want and bring the Flood in. We have to go all out though. Blur cutscenes, Firefight, giant campaign, and all that. But, with all this amazing stuff, it’s gonna be costly, so we have to charge the community. However, everything we planned for the season pass will still be there.
toxic community member: WTF 343?! You expect me to pay for something outside of the season pass. I don’t care if you reintroduced the Flood into the story, I hate you!!!

I have paid 90 EUR for the Ultimate Edition, I already paid 90€, which is a lot of money, and now an entire faction is blocked behind a paywall of 20€.

Erm, there’s no comparison here.
You’re really comparing the MASSIVE, actual expansions that Blizzard put out for Starcraft 2, to a mini-campaign, 2 new leaders, and a new mode? I mean, really?
You people are delusional, and are why companies know they can get away with these horrible practices…

Let’s be real here. It’s kind of embarrassing how the game will be getting DLC not included in the Season Pass only 7-8 months after the game came out. The only thing that is similar to this is Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles. It wasn’t included in the season pass, but at least they have the excuse that it came out 18 months after Black Ops 3 and a different CoD game has been released since then.
I mean, I’m gonna end up buying it. But there is no reason that a DLC coming out 7 months after release date should not be included in the season pass.

I am going to be dead honest here; I absolutely loved all the cinematics in HW2 and they finally revived that good ol’ Halo feel, the story felt compelling.
But I play this game for fun (to be clear, I played Blitz and multiplayer loads after the campaign, even played with champs in 2v2 and 3v3), I play this game to build an army and then wreak havoc on whatever crosses my path. If that happens to be Flood, fine I’ll happily go all shotgun John-117 on their -Yoink- like in H1. But if the developers choose to include extremely expensive blur cinematics that is their choice and doesn’t warrant another 20 dollars above a 90 dollar package that hasn’t delivered as much content as it should have in the first place. Maybe after 12 months of new leaders and a longer campaign than in Vanilla. If anything this seems dishonest and at the very least poor planning on their part.
Do bear in mind that most of the ultimate edition buyers that were happy with Blitz (great fun game mode btw) are probably well over or near 110 dollars by now. This is milking us dry, however you want to look at it. Period.
P.s.: this is my personal opinion.

Hear hear! He speaks the truth!
Although I agree with ^^^, it seem the only way to ease the backlash would be to offer a slight discount for season pass holders, which may never happen mind you. I am assuming the new leaders will still be free for season pass holders, but it does feel this expansion was more of a business decision which is ugly, since companies DO have to make money somehow.

Not only that, Starcraft II’s first expansion came out three whole years after the initial release date. The Flood expansion will be coming out 7-8 months into Halo Wars 2 life cycle. Literally no excuse for this not including this the season pass.
The season pass was fairly clear on what you were going to get: leaders and a mini campaign. Not a FULL campaign with a new enemy faction, cutscenes and a new game mode. I think expecting that ontop of what you already are getting for 25 quid is asking for alot.
Im personally very excited for this new content and can see why its not included as part of the season pass.

Just a quick correction, the campaign will be full length. We also don’t know if additional leaders will be added.
Please refer to this thread to discuss Awakening the Nightmare as it pertains to the Season Pass. Thanks.
