Alright, so I played halo 4 before but I didn’t remember much of it at all, but as I played through it it kept coming back to me, and this game was more… emotional and real than the others, and at the end when cortana died, I felt an emptiness when thinking about playing without her. First of all, I know this has been asked a million times, I’ve read up on the threads and they didn’t help me much on determining this but.
Do you think she will come back in some form or another? Is there even a slight chance she could come back memories intact, not rampant and normal?
What are your theories/predictions. I predict that they will put halsey into a AI, and that will be the new cortana, and from cortana touching chiefs armor, the memories will be uploaded to the artificial halsey, Anyone else think this?
I really feel empty and sad inside and I do not think I could play a game without her, knowing she is gone forever, no hope. It’s just depressing.

I think she will be in the game, but may not really “come back.” I could see something happening like in H3, where you hear her talk and those annoying animations blocking your screen.
Cortana IS an “Artificial Halsey”. Cortana will play some role in Halo 5, but coming back? No. Her death creates a whole new interesting plot to explore.
So she is gone forever, never coming back as a biological being, or an AI, completely dead? Confirmed 100%?
We’ll she is Halsey in a way, Cortana even mentions another Cortana AI would never be truly her
I’m saddened. Let me ask you this, is there a future for halo after the reclaimer trilogy? Will there be more games?

It was left quite vague and open. It’s highly possible that Cortana dissolved into fragments on that light bridge - just as much as she could’ve ended up somewhere else, or survived the ordeal.

Are you really asking that question? The answer, of course, is yes, there will be a future for Halo, because it is the game that moves Xbox’s. It is also the only good futuristic shooter, because COD and BF excel at the modern military shooter genre, but not so much at the sci-fi shooter genre, and Killzone is Playstation’s attempt at capturing the appeal of Halo.

It wasn’t left vague at all. It has been repeatedly confirmed both within universe and outside it that he is dead 100%.
Fragments don’t mean anything. To AIs they are just that, fragments. It’s like shattering a vase and saying that one of the individual pieces is the entire vase. Continuing with that metaphor seeing as Cortana can be compared to a cracked vase thanks to rampancy, her fragments regenerating a whole new Cortana would be like magically recreating a brand new vase from the chattered pieces. It just isn’t possible.
They would need a lot of space magic to get Cortana back.

If by vague you mean confirmed in more than one source, including Halo 4 itself, then yes.
Cortana is dead and she will not come back, but Chief is going to try as best as he can, which will lead to a moment of sad realization when he discovers that he can do nothing.
Also, I don’t think he knows that Cortana is Halsey’s clone AI, but I don’t know for sure.
He does know. Cortana mentioned it to John on the 2nd Level. About being the first AI cloned from living human tissue.
