SA-X of MC in future Halo books, anime, games ?

SA-X source = SA-X | Wikitroid | FandomI think it would be very interesting, because the SA-X in Metroid Fusion opened Metroid up story wise and game-play wise.

When you come across the SA-X especially when you aren’t at full power, it can feel scary and very intense.

Like Oh My God it’s gonna kill me kind of moment, especially after you get the main reactor back up, that part was very intense.

The music also helped a lot . . SA-X encounters

No matter which such a SA-X Master Chief is encountered (In a book, anime, game) I think it would be a amazing experience.

Also I wasn’t sure where to put this thread =(

The Halo Universe forum seems to be for thing’s that already exist or are announced.

Sa-x and the flood have a lot in common. Interesting point of though. I loved the Metriod series including Other M. Fusion IMO had the neatest story and something relative happening sometime in the Halo universe would be pretty slick.

Kinda strange how Sa-x saves Samus from the Mega Metriod though. It was a little confusing at first.

Yeah the Flood and the SA-X are similar, that’s why I think it could work from a canon point in Halo.

SA-X is/was the natural hunter of Metriods, at the end of Metriod Fusion the SA-X appeared because of the Omega Metriod that was at the landing bay, I don’t think it had to do with Samus.

I love Metroid: Fusion and Metroid in general, but I’m not quite sold on a parasitic duplicate of Chief. Halo as a FPS isn’t really set up for the unique scares of the SA-X. I’d much rather the Flood play mindgames with Chief, is possible, and psychologically scar him.

It worked with the Ur-Didact and he went on to turn a whole city in homicidal death droids.

As for the FPS part . . Didn’t Metriod Prime 3 have a SA-X like thing of Samus in it ?

Sadly I never really was able to play the Prime games, they were to hard for me =(

There was Dark Samus, but I think she was only for boss fights.

That’s sad but I could see why that is . .

For like the book/anime version of the SA-X Master Chief, I’ve thought out how it could happen, it could also happen in a game, but I’m not sure how well it would translate.

Here it is . .

A bright sunny day on a planet (let’s say Earth) . .

A portal high in Earth’s atmosphere is picked up by Earth’s defense satellites . .

A object the size of a drop pod is detected, ONI starts to figure out where it will land and mobilizes a team of Spartan 4’s, the object enters Earth’s atmosphere and lands in a open field.

Soon after the object lands the Spartan 4’s arrive on the scene, they move in to examine the object, the object reacts to their approach and opens.

What look’s like Master Chief step’s out and surprises the Spartan 4’s, the leader of the Spartan 4’s then radio’s into dispatch to confirm it’s Master Chief, but then the Master Chief SA-X surprises them and kill’s them all.

This then causes dispatch and ONI to focus satellites on the area, they see the horrible scene, and then the Master Chief SA-X becomes camoed.

That could be the beginning of such a SA-X encounter in a book/anime.

Would it also work for a game ?

I don’t think the idea would really work in the Halo universe. It’s a concept that is just a bit TOO video-gamey/ comic book-ey (You get what I mean, I hope). Halo tries to be a sci-fi game rooted in reality, I’m not saying that Halo is realistic, just saying that it tries to be. It sounds a bit like Venom or Carnage in Spiderman tbh.

I like the idea of the Flood playing mind games with Chief though. Sort of like the gravemind’s interactions with Chief in Halo 3. If we get trapped in a flood infected area, the flood (Or a gravemind if there is one), could rearrange the geometry of the area using the biomass it has at it’s disposal. Open doors, block other ones, create cages where we can see squads of marines or other Spartans being brutally murdered by Flood. Maybe a few mutilated bodies could be thrown from the ceiling into Chief’s path while the gravemind mocks him etc.
