Ok, so I’ve read MathGuy’s thread.
For people who have the achievements on W8/WP8, all the criteria (gold medals, Assault Ops aka challenges) show as completed in the Xbox One version.
Yet, unlike W8/WP8 where most of the achievements automatically unlock for the other platform, the achievements aren’t automatic.
So, currently, to unlock them again, we have to do all the medals and Assault Ops again.
Will the game be updated to make it the same as the Windows versions, where they will instantly unlock? Or is it a deliberate decision to have the console and Windows versions separate in that way?
Just want to know because I don’t want to play through it all only for there to be an update in a couple of days time.
PS. Co-op is great fun, I’ve got all the achievements now

Yeah, wonderful. So basically you tell me, that although Halo SA is advertised as being able to “synch progress between platforms” and now you tell me that it won’t work? And yes, if “progress” synchs, that includes my gold stars in all missions (which is actually even shown on XBOX ONE). And if I have all gold stars on XBOX ONE, that means that the “117” achievement has to unlock.
You can not just say “Windows 8/Windows Phone and console achievements are intended to be separate.”
That is like buying a car which is advertised with air conditioning and when you find out that the air conditioning is not working the seller/manufacturer says “Oooops. The air conditioning is intended not to work”.
This is not how it works, folks.
Even if Halo SA breaks the promise to “synch progress” between the platforms, then why the yoink does it show me all gold stars on my XBOX ONE. This is just extremely stupid. I either have all the gold stars, because the progress synchronizes, then I should unlock the achievement that comes with it as well. Or I do not have all the gold stars in this version, but then it should not show that I have all of them on XBOX ONE. This makes no sense at all.
Obviously for the mission specific “assault ops” things are different, aren’t they? For all that is good please tell me I don’t have to do all 75 mission specific “assault ops” again, even though I already did all of them… Oh good lord please… let this be a nightmare…
I just re-did all achievements. Can’t redo Extra Credit (90 challenges) because they are already considered “complete” therefore the achievement is locked forever. Kinda buggy
