they did a fantastic job on the character model. AMAZING he looks like a true kick -Yoink- spartan again.

Yeah, the first video from E3 worried me, the visor was so big but now he looks really good. All the upgrades 343 has done so far looks really good.
still don’t like the chest plate personally but a way better improvement.
Yep it now looks better…but i still don’t like his H4 look 
The halo 4 look isn’t doing it for me either. But we still have a long ways to go maybe some changes will be made or the plot will give him a new armor development who knows?.

Such an improvement. He does look very kick -Yoink-. His much improved animation adds to his awesomeness, too.
His chest plate still looks ridiculously blocky. It was blocky 10 years ago because that’s how graphics were. It SHOULD look like it does in Halo: Reach.
I will say that the animations are vastly improved (though still pretty rough in some spots). The way he moves his fingers and so on make him seem well…human. That’s a good thing.
I like the way the metal looked in reach The way his metal looks is for a lack of a better word, to animated. as for armor. They should really just use a reach model with altered knee and shoulder pads. Give him his ammo belt and call it a day. Why have 2 different types of Mark V armor when timeline wise its only a few days apart.

I must admit that I severely disagree with this thread. Judging purely on that 343 Guilty Spark runthrough we got with Kevin Grace’s commentary, Master Chief’s armor looks to me like it could have been ripped straight from Halo 2 with slightly improved textures and polygons. But really, that’s all I can say negatively toward the project. 343 Industries does their environments near-perfectly, and the new audio sounds beautiful. It’s just the character models (specifically John) and animations that could use some major polish. Maybe it was because I was expecting something comparable to Reach with this project in regards to character models, but the Chief’s model simply looks really bad to me. The lighting, specifically, is off (though animation is another major point of dissatisfaction for me).
That’s just my opinion, though. I’m glad you guys differ, and I kind of wish I did too.

Yeah… still hating the way the shotgun looks.
Chest piece is still that bad looking though. Just use the reach chest 343.
