Yesterday , after listening to them trough the achievementhunter videos, i decided to find one of them on my own in order to get the achievement. (note: i am austrian and therefore have to play the german version)
when the voices finally started i honestly laughed out loud,after i realised, that they had translated them!
- the humor of RvB is very much carried through their voices,
especially Cabooses lines
2.they did not translate the dialoge word by word, but they mostly have rewritten the jokes completely(i always have subtitles on, to atleast read the original writing)
it is not that i am mad or anything, i am just confused, as to why they decided to translate these eastereggs.
my theory is, that they simply got told to translate everything and so they did without knowing what they were tranlating.
i know many of you are not affected by translation issues in halo4, and i couldn’t care less, but i know a lot of people are affacted and i believe that the RvB translation really show how strangely the translation was handled in halo4.
