First of all the patch will help a bit, but it won’t stop rushing so get used to it. It’s an RTS strategy. You need to learn to defend it. This game is very good. Do not give up.
I read a lot of crying, there are way too many posts about it. I read mostly that the games end too quickly. It’s you, it’s not the game. Also do not forget the community playing this is relatively small so you will see a large number of decent players. It appears not a lot of people bought this game to learn to play rts games. It’s mostly rts players in my opinion with zero fact.
Look at my game history and you will see most games are long like 20 minutes to 50 for most. Every single game there is a rush; and by either side, one way or another. Maybe 1 in 20 is an under 10 minute game. Is it stoppable every time? No. I still lose some. But I have a 77% win ratio. I can’t expect to win them all and you shouldn’t either.
Do you know why my games are long (too long for many)? Because the rush was stopped. I don’t play a lot of low level players either, I stop it or they stop it.
So how do you stop it? Turrets. With units, especially counter units like cyclops if it’s rabits. Are tweaks needed? Yes. And they are coming. So for the love of everything wars please simmer down. Practice some more and watch twitch maybe to see how they deal with it.
most people understand it’s a strategy, but in some ways it was far too powerful. For instance, the kinsano jack rabbit rush allows players to have a decent army and turret within 2 minutes.
I’ve been rushed before but I couldn’t retaliate from her set up. I think a lot of people expect the games to be over quickly and want the speed of play to reflect that.
Personally I feel that rushing shouldn’t equal an automatic win, yes maybe against an unprepared player, it should give that player a better advantage going into mid game.
If they made a stronger base at the start or even made it so scouts did little to no damage, that way scouts could still be quite viable. They way it looks like the game is going is needing early units out of viability.
Come back from a game where opponents double Kinsano rushed my teammate who was banished. I notice when people Kinsano rush, they tend to believe they have it in the bag… it is VERY difficult to counter a rush that Is able to drop a turret which can kill a building(generator)before it expires. Even if they don’t succeed in actually eliminating you, your econ is out the window.
On one hand, you’ve got players saying that attacking with Scorpions and Nightingales 20 minutes into the game is noob rushing (yep, the guy in my match sent me a hate message telling me to stop rushing like a noob -_-) and on the other extreme hand, you’ve got players triple-Kinsano rushing and telling others to ‘stop crying’ and ‘get good’.
I find it hard to respect players who practise the exact same build orders and sequence of events for every match, and mercilessly rush just barely 5 minutes into the game, which is a legitimate style of playing, but NOT when they are exploiting some unbalanced unit and leader stats, which is what disturbs me.
Guys, chill, if you find some foolproof tactic and exploit, please don’t abuse it over and over again and make life hard for everyone, (and this does not just extend to rushing) to keep this community intact could you not exploit it and just wait for the patches to roll out, and in the meantime not touch that exploit like at all until it’s fixed (I’m looking at you, Kinsano’s turrets).
It is just insane the amount of baby crying out there… I went Hornets with in already TECH 2… I destroyed him and he sent me a message calling me trash for breaking the game!!! LOLLLLL my gosh, tired of this. He told me he wasn´t ready yet hahahaha

Yes the turret is an issue. However you are wrong. There eco was spent as well. Those turrets and units were pricey. I have come back from so many of those games. Was it easy? No. Double turrets and a few units is a bugger. Your turrets need to kill there units and you and your teamates need to draw the fire of the there turret a bit so it doesn’t kill you base.
Like I said and we know that is changing for the good. But rushing will not stop. Everyone needs to adapt.

Yes but almost every single game gets to that. You need to deal with early mini war. So I’m notrying sure what you are getting at. You need to build off the hophone and keep building and fighting to the varied army. Not too mention if you played any rts they rush. A little game called starcraft the so called best… ya rushing. Not chill at your base for 20 mins.

Exactly. People cry for not knowing how to play. You lost to a better player. Move on.

I mean if they aim for your upgraded generator with the turret, which most of the time they do, it can have a tremendous effect on your economy starting out.
You are a fool if you do not acknowledge the flawed nature of Kinsano, and the turret being a tier one perk. The turret, in conjunction with flamers (anti-turret units) and the ability to rush with Jackrabbits, is recipe for a unstoppable rush.
Similarly with the brute rush. No amount of turrets can defeat an army of ten jump pack brutes.
And the trade off is money. You say that the answer is turrets, but it is not. They are under powered and quite frankly weak. If you invest in turrets, you are using your resources for protection (that you don’t get), and do not have the money to build an army.
The game was fun when it wasn’t a game of who can rush better. Long game is always more fun, but the rushes are a little bit too effective, while defences have been nerfed too much compared to the first HW.

i just told you how to defend that. your units will draw its fire from your base. micro them in and out and you wont lose it. it will always sect units instead of base. you can let it shoot it for a bit and still not lose the pad.

Again another wrong person. Where did I say anywhere the turret is not an issue. I said that is being addressed so stop complaining. However if they get an army of Brutes you should have an army of snipers. Plain and simple. You need to counter. Is it a pain. Yes but that is how RTS work. You need to COUNTER. You dont think I see the brute rush everyday? I stop it 9 out of 10 times. because I build units. Unstopable lol. oh ok. I guess no body ever ever stops her ever haha. Every single game is a loss as soon as Kisano is in it. Unreal. I guess all those top Atriox and ship masters have never ever played Kisano.
There are a crazy number of people complaining so many of the units and powers are to OP. Rabits, marines, locusts, brutes, turrets and so on. Everything can’t be op and nerfed.
I’ve said this before… There are two players here…
Those who believe that rushing is part of RTS and others should “learn how to play” (minority)
and those who are just wanting to have fun and build armies and have mass wars (majority)
A truce timer playtype keeps the majority of non RTS players playing the game longer, and not harm the true RTS fan base.
Just telling casual players to learn how to counter the rush does nothing for their enjoyment of the game or does nothing to keep them playing.
Its the same thing as having Ranked vs Unranked playtypes in FPS games. its just making the game enjoyable for all types of players.
I’m just afraid the whole rushing thing might deter a lot of potential players to the game and could ultimately give this game a short lifespan. I’ve already begun to hop back on the old game, which people still play. Most of the people who I used to play with only want to play Blitz until the next patch comes out for this very reason. It seems the only playlist I can really enjoy is 1v1, and I’ve had some epic games there. The team death match playlists are just too out of hand right now.
Yes rushing is, and definitely should be part of the game, but I feel it’s a little too well set up for it. For the sake of the longevity of the game, and to draw in more players, I think there needs to be slightly more of an advantage to the player who wants to counter the rush. My best solution to this, a simple one, make tech2 slightly cheaper. Like 850 instead of a 1000. This could do miracles in helping set up a good counter to stop the many options for a rush attack.

The counter system doesn’t work. You are both arrogant and ignorant. Snipers lose against brutes in this game. Perhaps if the counter system worked the game would be more balanced. There are several things that need to be buffed, and nerfed, before the game reaches its potential.

Also it would make sense that someone who has Kinsano as their most used operator would justify how things are not Over Powered. People like you exploit what is currently broken to benefit yourself. That is a selfish way to play, because you even acknowledge it is not fair to have a turret drop as tier one. You are a vulture. You wait for the developers to make a mistake and you capitalize on it.
There is no counter system in this game. Snipers lose to brutes, infantry overpower turrets (5 marines), and locusts are anti-everything. You are either willfully ignorant, or just stupid to ignore or justify these issues.

To be fair snipers don’t counter an all-in brute rush. However, JR spam or marine spam does. So… Not very difficult really.
Or if Banished you just go suicide grunts. It’s very easy to stop the brute rush actually, but you do have to scout it.
The kinsano turret/JR rush on the other hand is impossible to defeat as banished. If you do somehow hold off using leader powers, engineers and turret upgrades you are so behind economically you are doomed to lose anyway. They just come over and steam-roll your hunter/banshees with T3 flame hogs+ a few wolves.

Rushing is a part of RTS games that is for sure. However they should not be nigh impossible to stop. Rushing should put you at a disadvantage economically if you fail, however it doesn’t currently because in order to even survive you have to damage yourself just as much if not more than the rusher. You main Kinsano and then make posts saying people shouldn’t complain about rushing. You say don’t complain about the turret drops because its being fixed, well someone had to complain to get it fixed. Your points are invalid. Also try not playing Kinsano and then try to brag about your win %. How many games have you won by dropping double turrets in 2v2?
