Rushing At the Beginning

My friend and I have been playing Halo Wars 2 for months and keep running into a occurrence that I believe that you guys should be aware of. It’s an issue that the title of my post spoils: rushing at the beginning of the game. It’s ridiculous that my friend and I cannot earn enough supplies or power to even fight back about 10 groups of grunts/marines; leaving us frustrated and flabbergasted when the game ends under 10 minutes. People constantly seem to do this to us while he and I are always coming up with our own strategies to unsuccessfully combat them. My friend even wants to stop playing the game until something is done about this, and I agree with him. It doesn’t seem like anybody else has said anything about this topic and I’m actually surprised; it has to happen to everyone at least once. My friend and I cannot even comprehend how these people build so many units in a short amount of time, and though we have both researched YouTube videos on Halo Wars 2, nothing seems to tell us how these do it. It honestly takes the fun out of the game when this happens. It doesn’t matter if the game is ranked or not, they still do this strategy and win. Honestly, I just want you guys to be aware of this unfair situation and do something about it; if that’s possible. My friend and I don’t want to stop playing the game but when we see an enemy scarab 6 minutes into the game, we get frustrated. We will continue to report these people in the meantime.

Why do you consider it unfair if your opponent outplays you?

You’re asking the devs to do something about rushing? Lol. Have fun not playing ever again then.

…And Scarab rushes? Really? You lose to Scarab rushes? Is this a joke?

Rushing isn’t a problem right now. You just have to make units at the start and scout properly. Suicide grunts and hellbringers will counter infantry very well. Double pumping frag grenade marines or shrapnel mine grunts will kill choppers, jackrabbits, and ghosts. Hero openings can be countered by core infantry mixed with suicide grunts or hellbringers. Also if you don’t have enough supplies or energy then check to see if your build order is effective. Waypoint has a tool that let’s you check your opponents build order and it’s very helpful. (Edit: if you want to learn some build orders or some practice countering rushes I would be more than happy to do some custom games with you or any of your friends)
