I have been playing halo wars 2 since the beginning and I’ve come to realize the only way to win is to carry your team (in 3vs3).
And im starting to get tired of always having to rely on myself to win a game . I believe to have mastered my Atriox jump brute rush and I want those who play 3vs3 (old or newbies) to help out and not play selfishly. I believe to have skills to win since I’ve consistently made it to Onyx and champion. I play to have fun and I play to win because that’s what ranking is about and I wish some players try to understand some of us do take it serious .
now a lot of you all might say I have a bad winning ratio which you are right. However most of my games I take out atleast 2+ main bases. Even if my rush fails I always try to take out 1 main base to distibilaze their economy. So we have a better advantage to expand and have Tier 2 units.
Tips to new players or old who play 3vs3.
if you see your ally with double raids you should come to understanding that a rush is about to happen: rushes can happen between the 3-4 minutes mark.
there are 2 things you should consider doing to help a successful rush.
Join the rush with snipers and marines. — Constantly produce units—. And don’t expand just yet because it is very costly. And it might ruin the rush itself because you over expanded too early and you have no units left to counter or push. Now you may ask WHO to rush first right ? When I scout I try to find who expanded first. ( if they expanded it’s because they have very few units on the field) so I backdoor at the right time their MAIN base. Why the main base? Because that’s where their main resources are coming from. Do not even bother just yet with their expansion until that main is destroyed. Their 2 allies will either come and help. Or backdoor as well. That is why the snipers you have on the field will help gradually for a counter backdoor rush. When a main base is destroyed this when you should then consider expanding and so forth.
If you are the 3rd guy. And you decide to play for mid and late game . Then make sure you have tier 2 units ready for around the 10 minute mark “atleast”. —Stop upgrading your units when you do not even have any units on the field to begin with—-. ( it’s a very big and common mistake made). While your ally or allies are rushing please take the power nodes. The longer they have these power nodes they can still make a comeback from a rush ( believe me I’ve seen it happen and it literally brought me little tears just because of a small mistake that an ally can’t handle for me while I’m rushing. Your the teammate that should either mass produce air units and finish the remaining players off OR have counter units to prevent the other 2 opponents from having vehicle or air control.
The only disadvantage to rushing is that you stay Tier 1 for a quite some time. But that won’t matter because you will have more population than the opposite team.
If you have any tips to give for a successful rush feel free to share
And if you wish to play with me add me !

I remember being bad at rushing in multiplayer. Basically my goal was to give my team mates time to do whatever while I try to stall by destroying structures and units. Usually I couldn’t follow up after an attack. Macro is important.
I’ll be happy to join you with your rushes… I just added you (my GT is Malcatrazz).
I also like rushing with flamer/marine as mostly Johnson or Anders. I also like support role (e.g. T1 Colony skitterer/engineer) or fast T2. It’s all fun.

This sounds fun and is great tip!
Too often you see people talk about how to rush or defend the rush, but I like how you actually go into detail about what the supporting teammates should be doing!
That’s what I needed to see, and your team strat sounds fun and effective!

Not trying to be rude, just passing on info. Everybody logs into Waypoint through Microsoft login. Everyone’s username on these forums is their gamertag.
Trox cm jpb about to get nerfed. Everything I do early game is to counter them.
PS. That’s how they keep track of your rank and win rates.

Well that’s exactly what rushing is about to stall the enemies and give time to your allies to tier up.
Id say master Atriox first and then Arbiter second for rushes. I find yapyap a little harder to micro manage.

I use Anders to get the flame marine upgrade for early on rushes. I normally have about 10 to 12 of them with the upgrade the damage they do is significantly larger and I can cripple whoever I attack very early on and prevent expansions.
