this keeps happening and displays the message below. whats going on.
Server Error in ‘/Forums’ Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a “web.config” configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its “mode” attribute set to “Off”.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File →
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode=“Off”/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the “defaultRedirect” attribute of the application’s <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File →
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode=“RemoteOnly” defaultRedirect=“mycustompage.htm”/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

you cannot uninstall IE from your computer but you can disable it.
as for my issue, it seems to have now been fixed, i can access this forum fine in both chrome and FF, i prefer FF because of the tighter security i can have.
Opera gave me the same problem. I just tried clearing all the Waypoint cookies and it seems to fix the problem for me at least.

i went a step further, i went and completely cleaned up my laptop, registry and everything and it was still happening but after a while it just appears to have timed out and started to work again.
Lol, “luckily” for me, this is a brand new HD and I haven’t had time to collect too much internet crap in the cache!
(By “luckily” I mean my other HD crashed and I had to get a new one. Sucky.)

you can delete large amounts of it, making it not run
edit: or maybe it runs after deleting stuff, i never tested it

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay
Umm, IDK how long ago this thread was active like this, I didn’t look at any dates, but I am trying to log into http://forums.xbox.com and in Google Chrome, I get that Runtime error message, everytime. I tried it on IE and it worked, but when I tried to log in, I got Runtime error. I read some forrums, and dissusion on the topic, and so I decided to install FireFox to see if it would work. Same as IE. I read THIS forum and then decided to remove all my Internet information, cookies, history, etc. There is still no change… Maybe you guys could give me some advise?
