Running Halo Combat Evolved on Windows 10

Hey guys,

Thought I should move the post to here as it may get more responses.

After a 6tear hiatus, I am getting back into playing Halo Combat Evolved on PC again, since I finally have a gaming PC (first self built one). I used to play the game back in 2009 on our old family computer that was running XP. Back then, the game used to run pretty well. I can’t remember me running it on max settings, but it ran smoothly. However ever since I have been running the game the last few days on new gaming system, I have noticed that loading times are significantly slower then usual and there are more frequent drops in frame rate. Surely that can’t be down to my specs, as my system should be able to handle gamesome that age on max settings easy. Maybe it may be Windows 10 compatibility?

I have read that Halo PC doesn’t handle well with new hardware. Now I am not run in this game in compatibility mode because other then the two issues I mentioned above, it runs flawlessly. Below I have my specs below as well as my game settings to see if there is anything I should do - whether it is running the game in compatibility mode or changing some settings.
