The Bungie to 343 transition was hard for the community and even moreso for the games… But, do you think it could possibly be for the better? Or do you think that 343 has left such a large scar on the Halo franchise that no matter how good any of their future games are, it will never again be as popular as it was back in the days of Bungie Halo?
This really belongs on the General Discussion thread. Anyway, 343i’s narrative focus puts Bungie’s to shame.
343i has ruined it completely for me, to the point where none of it even feels like Halo to me anymore and pretty much the only way to fix it in my opinion or get me to come back to it would be wholesale throw out everything 343i has added and start over again from the end of Halo 3. There are some things 343i has done I think that could have maybe been good ideas or fit in fine with the series, but the way they were implemented was absolutely terrible. What’d I’d probably do if I was the one writing is do as I said above and pitch all of 343i’s additions out of canon and then pick through it for what could be added back in or reworked and then added back in.
As far as I’m concerned, Bungie Halo is infinitely and FAR superior to anything that 343i has come up with or ever will come up with. But that’s only as far as Halo is concerned, on the actual story itself that 343i has been creating and if it were the start of some new series or something, I doubt I’d have any problems at all with it and might even have been something that’d be a new favorite series, but as Halo, I can’t enjoy it at all and I can’t see it as anything by crap…there are way too many problems with it.
I have to say neither, simply because I mainly play the story, multiplayer however seems to be getting worse, but I’m actually excited for 5
Without a shadow of a doubt they re improving
Dunno, I’ll tell you on the 28th.
Some things they get right, some things they don’t, they learn from their mistakes, just like bungie did
