I was hoping after this update (which took me 24 hours to download cause it was stuck at 33%) the issues in H2A would be fixed but the problem still persists. I have great connecting from modem and other playlist work fine for me but as soon as I jump into Team Halo 2: anniversary i have the following issues :
-rubber banding (I will go off a grav lift or jump off a high ledge and then I’ll teleport several times before I finally reach the ground)
-I hit someone with the sword or melee them in the back and nothing happens.
-I’ll shoot someone for minutes and their shields take FOREVER to drop and by then they turn around and kill me
-getting shot behind cover or around corners
-I’ll throw grenades and then seconds later they’ll finally just appear in mid air where I threw them seconds ago.
please tell me I’m not the only one. I -Yoinking!- love this game but it just keeps beating me down with all this nonsense and makes the best playlist almost unplayable for me. Thank goodness for Team Slayer or else I probably cry from all the little time I have to play this game just goes to waste dying in H2A.
sounds like you have a bad internet connection dude.
Apparently, H2A has a lot of extreme spikes in network use, which can be a problem for people with poor connections. 343 are also apparently aware of it. There is a graph floating around, which demonstrates a comparison of the network useage of H2C, H3 and H2A, and it looks pretty bad, hopefully someone can find it and post it.
I have the same issue as ThatDamnGringo - I do know I have an average Internet connection (working on that) but when I can jump into a Halo CE match and it works fine I wonder if there is more to it than that.
Gogo 101’s explanation sounds plausible but I’d also be curious as to why there are differences in the networking on all the games. If 343i are trying to maintain four different methods of networking the games (for each title) that’s got to be troublesome.
